Absolutely agree.. They are out there...I just happened to find mine when I went searching...so it was pretty sweeet to get the whole package...I originally just wanted the Pass-thru rear..but stumbled on the whole set for not much more $$ so I jumped on it.

I was trying to get as many of the factory pieces as possible before they became extinct ..... Car is getting ready to get put up for the winter and I will work on some projects on it here and there.. but for the most part, it is good to go

Wow this build is incredibly close to the goal I have for my '04 and you're doing a fantastic job with it. I just installed an RA block so now I'm planning my next round of OEM+ style upgrades. What brand and where did you buy that steering wheel? Mine is in pretty terrible shape.

Thank you Hope yours goes well also..
Look up Reggies Custom Wheels on Ebay.. He is in Poland and does an assortment of vehicles for the new Steering wheel and obviously does outstanding work.. There are also a lot of options within.. like: All Leather, Suede/Alcantera, Mixture of leather/Suede..
here is his website: https://www.reggiescustomwheels.com/index.php

Good Luck

Ahhh yes I saw this on Connor's detailing FB page! LOVE it. Had my RS which was CGM, reshot 51E as I too, really enjoy the color.

Love the progress, would love to do something similar myself!

Connor definitely deserves some credit on how this thing is turning out for sure... He will be its 'long term provider' when it comes to maintaining the appearance.. For sure... Him and I have a plan for maintenance for the future.. I am just extremely happy that its been well maintained over the years... With all original engine, body panels and paint.. and the condition its in.. says alot. Attention to Detail is my theme... Thanks man. appreciate it

Rear spats help balance out the front, I'd say go for it!

Have a few more purchases on the way..
-8500 mile VF48
-VA STi Intercooler and Factory BOV
-New to me A-piller trim pieces
-got a 12in Sub to go with Sound system
Plus all the rest of my Dealer purchases.

This should be about it.. Got the Turbo for insurance.
Most of all this is just spare , just to have it, just in case..
Getting ready to put the Stabil in the gastank and put it up til Spring. I will start it about every 2 weeks just to cycle the fluids and let it warm up.

More later

Thanks... Yep.. I love it too
My Credit card got loose again today.. paid for the new Front Bumper fairings ... Love that they come Painted 51E. Got some more JDM goodies on the way... I will let it be a surprise for when it actually shows Up. VA STi Intercooler showed up also..leaving it in the box til I need it. It will have a 8500 mile VF48 turbo and BOV. ... so kinda refreshing everything. .. Probably will be one last surge before I put it up for the winter..I almost drove it to work today..58 degrees. Perfect weather, but I opted to keep it at home...Not to many 'good' days left till the inevitable White stuff comes..Then for sure it will NOT see..have my daily Subaru for that... ..

Just got off the phone with K&N... I needed some replacement parts for their intake... Hose clamps and a hood sealer/gasket..
What a great experience.. I was fully prepared to pay for the things I needed.. but their customer service rep said, "Nope its under our 'LIFETIME' Warranty program.. We will get this order out to you immediately"..
Wow wasn't expecting that ...How cool is that.. they 'really' do take care of their customers.. AWESOME.. sooo new hose clamps and Hood sealer on the way..

Not alot of people know that this model had lots of hidden stuff that made it a true drivers car..Ex: The Rear window glass is thinner than the Std Impreza/WRX model for weight savings. Little stuff like that. Everything they did with this model had a purpose to enhance it.
Never knew the STI got thinner glass!? Kinda sneaky like the Integra Type R.

Yep... There's all kinds of little things STi Group did back then to gain the performance advantage over their competition.. The thinner glass was just one of the tricks STi Group did..All the bushings and stuff that were options here in the US... were part of the actual package back then.. Grp N mounts and bushings as std equipment. The Steering rack was another 'sneaky' addition. The fact that the 04 didn't have a radio was no accident. The Initial batch wasn't even wired for them..leaving the Sound system *if wanted* completely up to the consumer. Attention to detail and little things... that was what the STi group did to make the car stand out over a standard Production WRX... besides the obvious, *Turbo/intercooler/ECU etc....

One of the reasons the 05 is one of my Favorites of all time.

That's all true and why I love the old cars. It's a huge bummer that the standard old STI was more purpose built than the horribly expensive new S209.
