Default Help Identifying Turbo

Bought a used 2006 WRX a while back and finally sorted out most of the many issues it had when purchased and am going to be tuning it shortly. The previous owner originally said that it had a TD05-20G turbo on it, then said it had a TD05-18G, but gave me a box of parts (which had a TD05-20G label on the side of it) that included a brand new looking turbo exhaust housing and mentioned that he reused the exhaust housing from the previous turbo, not really sure why and he was not particularly forthcoming.

In any case, I'd like to know what I'm dealing with to make a tuning plan. Any easy way to identify which turbo I might have?

Here are some pictures in the event they may help in identifying the turbo:

No one can tell from your pics. Remove it and take a look at any markings. Or atleast remove the inlet and intercooler. So we can see the compressor housing.

Bump for more information. Never did quite figure out what the housing on the car was, but it hits 1 bar at about 3200RPM with a reasonable tune on it and will hold at least 18psi to ~6500RPM. It creeps a bit in colder weather and I cannot get below ~16psi at ~6500RPM in the upper gears. Based on this behavior, I'm guessing TD05-20g with 8cm^2 housing, but could certainly be a 7cm^2 housing or 18g on an un-optimized tune...

In going through my box of spare parts, I am now hoping to swap turbo housings (because the spare is in better shape and I'm hoping to avoid boost creep in the winter) over to the spare that came with the vehicle and am looking to identify that housing before (porting and) installing it. Basically, I want to confirm it is an 8cm^2 housing before I go through the effort of installing it. I have attached pictures for reference, but, unfortunately, there are no markings on the housing (eBay turbo housing I'm sure). Could anybody let me know how to tell the difference between the 7cm^2 and 8cm^2 TD05 housings?

the front cover would normally be where identifying marks are if they are present at all...

Thanks for that bit of information, I do appreciate it. I thought that the 7cm2 and 8cm2 exhaust housings could be installed on the same turbo, so assumed that any relevant markings would be on the exhaust housing, but we all know what happens when we assume things...
