![]() Help please,
My first Subaru is a 2011 Forester project car without a functional engine. I have a 10103AC660 short block, (I don't have the original block). I have a 11018AA050 head, and a 11019AA030 head. (yes, a Subaru dealer sold me those parts...) The heads appear to bolt on just fine, and the timing chain cover appears to fit just fine, etc. The valve clearances are currently grossly insufficient, like none. With no valve shim buckets installed, the smallest clearance is 1.29 mm, and the greatest clearance is 1.44 mm, as measured between the cam opposite the lobe projection, and the corresponding rocker pivot arm roller. The shortest Subaru valve shim bucket is 1.92mm, and I would like to aim more for the middle, so those valve stems extend roughly 3.4mm too far above the head, when aiming for .13mm intake or .24mm exhaust clearances. The Exhaust valves in the new head assemblies are marked E2 and the intake valves are marked I22. So, Is anyone reading this able/willing to tell me which Subaru (or Toyota?) engine those heads are intended for? If the valves are correct, then Maybe cam carriers? (but the timing chain cover fits, so i'm thinking not). Cam Shafts need to be different, part #? Rocker arms? Rocker arm pivots? ??? Help Please. Thanks for reading this far!
