Default Official Bring-a-Trailer Thread

It's overdue that we have an official BAT thread.

The inaugural vehicle:

90 BMW 325i - so choice. $40k with 3 days left.

I've crashed every blue car I've owned.

I should not buy this car.

Man, the only way that truck would be better is if it had a 5speed. My friend had 90 or 91 4Runner V6 4x4 5speed for years. Bought it new and put over 250k on it. I should have bought it when he replaced it but I had no place to keep it.

Seems like all it has been is Porsche and BMW. Some odd love for the old trucks all of a sudden though.

^There is a lot of Porsche and BMW. But lots of oddball cars that you never knew existed too.

Can't say I've ever seen one of these kicking around.

I liked BAT much better when it was links to cool vehicles vs getting astronomical prices for semi-desirable vehicles.

I think the last decently priced vehicle I saw that sold was an 05 (I think) BMW M3 with 6 speed loaded with 30k'ish miles. It sold for $22k, maybe $24k. Dude tried to flip it for more money and ended up hosed.

Original M3s bottomed out in the late 90s just above $10k. Appreciation hasn't been as stupid as any 911 over twenty but it's still silly.

That said maybe I should put up an original owner 05 WRX and watch the cash roll in. Would it be enough to buy a new one? I understand prices have gone up...

Make sure you list all your investments to drive the price up.
