Default Arashi Dynamics TD06SL2-GTX3071R-7cm

Anyone used this turbo before?
Stock location
2.4 inch inlet
7cm or 8cm exhaust housing
Td06sl2 exhaust housing so smaller than a full sized td06 I believe
This would certainly out perform a td05 20g right?

What kind of power could I see on a full bolt-on forged internal 2.1 stroker ej205 with 91 octane + methanol injection. Somewhere between 20-25 psi. And how laggy would be about 4k rpm?

No. Please look at the garrett variations or any reputable brand. That brand is cheap china **** that wont last 6 months. Look at a 3076 or fp blue. Both good brands and not too expensive.

you're completely incorrect..... its a taiwan based company and a 3076 is not even semi close to a 20g OP is looking at, you seem like the type of fella to buy a junk turbo like a Blouch

they are really good turbos for the money they're a Taiwan brand not china like the other poster had stated. myself and about 4 or more friends have used Arashi turbos of varying sizes and all perform extremely well. i wouldnt hesitate to buy one again if i was in need of a small turbo.

Whoaaaaa there thats uncalled for, Id never touch a blouch lol. I saw gtx3071 and assumed it was comparable in size to what garrett offers 3071 3076ect. Never heard of them lasting long either

Seem to perform below average compared to the rest of the competition.
For example I’ll use my setup to compare. Im using an ancient turbo design albeit rotated, Garrett 60-1 At only 18 pounds with no head work whatsoever and I’m at 397. The ones that I see (dom1,2,3,4)on 93 octane at around 21 to 22 pounds usually come up short of that number and they are 10 years newer. From everything I have gathered over the last 8 years, there are better options for the money

part of that is likely because the hotside you are using vs the blouchs using the subaru type hotside that is very restrictive.

But those results are so good because you're rotated. The pumping losses associated with the traditional IHI style housing are reduced significantly when moving to a V band or other non OEM style housing that a rotated setup would utilize.

The BPT turbos use a stock style housing.

honestly ive never had an issue with mine. i get that alot of people hate them but i have a 20g xtr 3'inlet 8cm hotside, and the thing works well. made 377whp/401wtq at 23psi on iag's dynojet. i had foreign object damage once and sent it to blouch to get rebuilt. customer service was fantastic and turnaround time was quick. i dont really have anything bad to say about them. i get where the other guy is coming from but like i said, i think the power/boost he's taking about comes more into play with the subaru hotside and how restrictive is vs a rotated setup. rotated/killer b spoolinator/full-race stock location all get rid of the subaru hotside and that aids in spool and power.

^^^ agree with everything you said right here ^^^

I think people don't like them because they were rude to a few people doing RMAs in 2012 lol.

I have yet to see a compelling reason for why BPT turbos are bad. They seem perfectly fine.

Obviously a rotated or V band outlet stock location setup will perform wayyy better pretty much everywhere in the rev range, but for most people, the power made with a correctly sized BPT turbos is enough to meet their goals and they are affordable and have good customer service.

yeah honestly when i worked at mach v we put blouch turbos on so many cars. the only single issue i ever remember on them was from my car, which was foreign object damage. not the fault of blouch at all. and they were helpful in fixing the issue/rebuilding the turbo. yes i will always agree getting a proper hotside in there will make a turbo perform better and will be a better option performance wise, but for the price, blouch is a great product. rotated/spoolinator/fullrace stock location all are alot more expensive than a blouch turbo.

as far as them being rude in 2012.....i got my sti in 2013....so i dont know anything about that haha
