High AF Learning 1 at Idle (+30%) P000C / P0018
My first post was apparently scrapped by the mods, so let's try once more...
New (to me) 2019 WRK 25k miles, no mods, Accessport Cobb OTS Stage 1 91 OCT I was running the stage 1 93 OCT NWG map for 5 days, went through a carwash, and had P000C and P0018 get thrown a few miles down the road. I also noticed in the car wash that my AF Learning 1 values at idle were spiking up to +30-40%. I'm bringing it to the dealership today, but I'm thinking there might be a leak, problem with OCV, Cam Shaft Sensors, MAF, who knows... Anyone have anything similar happen? I have a feeling I have a long road ahead of me. I'd attach my logs but I can't figure out how to upload a file to this post. |

p000C is usually an OCV, you might get lucky replacing only that, but P0014-18 are usually expensive codes to fix involving sensors, cam gears and new ECUs to fix. here is the TSB for common issues and how to tackle. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...60490-9999.pdf

Thanks, that's helpful. It's at the dealer right now without (as far as I last checked) the code showing. If anything I just wanted to get the issue documented.
The code hasn't come back in the last 100 miles / a few drive cycles, so maybe it was just the 93 Map for some reason. The only thing that's persisted is a little bit of a dip in RPM during idle with a corresponding spike in AF Learning 1. Whatever, I knew what I signed up for when I bought a WRX. I do miss my Speed3 though lol. |

logs
Would anyone be willing to take a look at those logs and let me know if there's anything glaring? The codes are gone for now, but I can't figure out if those idle trims are going to mess anything up in the future. I very rarely let the car idle long enough to start creeping up to those levels, but I'm new to the platform so I'm hyperaware of everything.

Okay so I’ve determined that the fuel trim spikes correlate to when the radiator fan kicks on due to coolant temp rising at idle. Here is a video that shows the exact moment the radiator fan kicks on (you can hear it if you listen closely but I’ve confirmed by looking in engine bay) and the corresponding spike in trims. Please tell me this is normal??? Someone??
