Question Shift boot on an auto

Has anyone tried to install a boot on the 02' auto? Due to some commute issues i have in SF i got an auto, so until an STi version comes out i have to deal with the center console getting dusty and kinda tacky. I've always liked manual trannies better, so i at least wanna get the look, so if anyone knows if its even possible, or better yet, have done it, please share the knowledge

Question hmmm

Wont it be a problem with the indicators being blocked? Even thou P is on the top and drive is somewhere in between?

Who looks at their indicators anyway? Since autos are set up the same way, why bother looking? PRND(321).....not a terribly complicated setup.

There is?

Damn, you 2002 guys are getting lucky all over the place.

I wouldn't couldn't shouldn't put a boot on mine because the shift lever is too easy to move from "3" into "N" by mistake. It doesn't stop in "D", it just keeps on going. If I had the indicators on the dash it wouldn't be a problem.

Default Excellent

Its true that the indicators are not a problem, as i play shiftie so much, i know exactly where everything is without looking, so a boot won't block the indicator so much as hide the terrible unlit unit, i'm a light whore, if it doesn't light up and i don't use it, it might as well be replaced by something that looks better during the day.
