Thumbs up 5-Spd Project

I wanted to mention to you guys that I will be starting the 5-spd conversion project on our SVX in about 2 months (when our Rex gets in)!

I have a Legacy-Turbo Trans with the Hydraulic Clutch system, which will apparently bolt right up. Mounting, pedals, driveshaft and the rest will be tricky but I am committed and have a pretty good machine shop I can get to.

I will likely stay with the Turbo's 3.91 ratio, since I also have the 3.91 LSD for the rear.

Anyway , I have a decent dig cam and will try to post up stuff as I go if anyone's interested..

As allways, any help or input would be much appreciated..

Must have 5...

Default Good Luck

I would love to be updated on how things go. I've had the Level 10 trans done, but i'm curious to see if the 5 speed can be done. I've seen a lot of talk since I've bought the car 2 years ago and you seem pretty willing starting this up so I hope you can prove some people wrong.

This is a non-Subie owner here but I have a similar car I believe. I own a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 and wanted to compare that to some SVX owners. I would like to see pictures of your engines, etc. if anyone has them available please let me know.

I also have twin turbo and All-Wheel Drive and it also has All-Wheel Steering above about 30 mph. It also has Active Aero (a lip under the front air dam drops a few inches and the rear wing tilts up at 45-degrees after about 30 mph).

Just curious if anyone takes their SVX to a track or has some AWD experience to share with me. Thanks.
