Wheel Lug Nut Torque for 2015 WRX w/ RPF1’s
I have RPF1’s on my 2015 WRX- is 89 ft-lbs too high for lug nut torque or should I drop down to ~ 75-80 ft-lbs or so? The manual is specific to spare tire change (89ft-lbs) and not necessarily Al alloy wheels and I’m unsure if they are they same torque value. Also running Project Kics Caliber 24 lug nuts in case that matters.

Lug nut torque is based on developing the correct clamp load by properly loading (stretching) the studs. The torque value doesn't change based on the wheels or lug nuts used.

Basically this^ I tighten my rpf1s to 89 ft lbs with no issues. Avoid potholes like the plague though or youll bend wheels...I would know
