It is not half bad. I hope the FA24 has fixed the torque dip that plagued the older models. I wonder what brz interior will look like. they claim it only makes about 217hp. it leaves the car open for aftermarket tuners to add their own turbos and coax out more power

I'd drive it. 'Cept it's obvious there's no turbo... so, no, I won't.

I like it. The rear kind of reminded me of the Accord coupe for some reason, but that's not a bad thing and at least it is RWD.

Ugly as hell. Side profile looks the same as the current model but the front and rear angles are hideous.

Also, that interior shot...obviously not proportionate/likely a render, but look at the angle on that driver's seat

It looks like the current model with a few new body panels and the infotainment system out of the RAV4.

Both engines will be available in the Supra next year.

Why make both? Toyota wrote a very large number on a check and BMW cashed it. Toyota decided it would be more cost effective to subsidize the development of a sports car rather than undertake their own. Sounds familiar...
got it....that makes more sense...I'd get the next supra over the BMW, especially if they made the transmission more mod friendly, maybe that's already been sorted in aftermarket?

Fake or not, I would not be surprised to see a similar screen in the new 86. It's tacked onto just about every new Toyota now.

How did Toyota go backwards? My wife's 2017 iM hatch has it integrated into the dash, but maybe that's because it's a former scion model.

It's the current trend. Several companies are doing that.

While the tacked on look isn’t as clean, it is more functional. The camera lens is being held at my eye level. The bezel doesn’t block the windscreen and my eyes barely look away from the road to glance at the screen. It is also a super short reach to the screen from the 2:00-3:00 hand position. It is good ergo.

Since the BRZ and 86 are largely still Subaru, though, I’d expect them to do whatever Subaru is doing.

Dash for Nav especially is a bit too low to use safely so I agree that the higher the better.
It's just tad more difficult to clean the dash and inner front windshield but not a big deal.

I really like that new design inside and out. Hope it can propel to 60 under 6sec.

I meant to say the old in-dash is a bit too low..

https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/n...roduction-form the brz prototype seems to have a eyesight camera on the headliner. I highly doubt that there is a front mount intercooler like they are suggesting. We need our fellow photoshoppers to work their magic on the brz spyshot. again they deserve a GRMN or STI version with a turbo
