Thought we would start a new group page, for those that live in the Tampa Bay Area. Here you will find all the current local Subaru car meets and Subaru events. We will be working on putting together a monthly meet like we did back in the day. We will do one meet a month, in hopes to get as many of us out to it as possible. Just like the old topic, here we can discuss anything, doesn't have to just be Subaru related. I hope that we can be more active in this thread, rather than how the old thread was.

** Upcoming Events **

Welcome! It's going to be a great event in December, hope to see you at our monthly meet before than. We will come to a consensus soon on a time and place for the first meet.

Will do. Most smartphones won't allow you to input your info, you will need to do it from your PC.

I'm glad to see this thread, I live in pinellas and work in Tampa. Was in the car scene for a long time and got out of it when I sold my coyote a few years back. I have an 18 WRX now and I'm looking forward to meets and stuff again.

Awesome Ryan! If you have any input on a meet location for our next meet, please share it. We use to have them at the Brick House on Dale Mabry and I-275, was a great place to host them at. But open to all suggestions. Make sure you make it out to the Mega Meet in December!!!

Hey you, it has been awhile since we've heard/seen from you. Sounds like you are covering most of your bases with your mod list and you have the brands your wanting!

Man I wish I can go to the mega meet but I'll be back in FL on December 6th. Everything happens a week after I arrive somewhere. I moved to IN a week after the GRC event in Indianapolis lol.

Yes, I know.... My husband didn’t want me modifying the car when it was “mine” but now that he thinks it’s his, we’re finally doing it
We have a 2015 BMW X5 M Sport that’s “mine” so we can haul our 1 yr old and her stroller and stuff.

I’m not sure about which brands are best for the headers, injectors, etc. E85 is $1.52 up here in Cincinnati!!!! I’m almost tempted to convert it entirely but heard an oil change every 1,000 mi is recommended....

As for headers, I've read a lot of people buying agency power. I tried to get those for my 04 years ago but they were back ordered so I got the borla instead and I liked the borla and had no issues with them.

As for injectors, I bought used injector dynamics 1000cc when I did the top-feed conversion on my 04. I had RevWorks do the conversion and I supplied the parts to them and had Anthony etune the car and it worked out well.

You mean Anthony with Drunkmann right? I’ll have to see when he will be available.

I’ll research those for sure. What are your thoughts on a flex fuel kit? Or should we totally commit to either premium or E85

Flex fuel is the way to go. Where most places are finally starting to carry it, but if it isn't available when you need it, it's nice to be able to put pump gas in. But obviously you will need two fuel maps, so your tune is going to cost you a little more. But I personally would go flex fuel.

Yes Anthony with Drunkmann and he e-tuned my car and it worked fine. I don't know a whole lot about flex fuel but from what I've read so far, it seems to be a benefit if you want to do e-85 and use pump gas.

Hmm so I would completely avoid paying a “premium” price for gas - no pun intended

So it’s either e85 or unleaded???!!! I’m already sold on the idea hahaha

I’m thinking of either driving to PA or Pensacola to get a dyno tune from Anthony. Especially when we do all the upgrades we want to do, unless getting the e tune first would be best until everything is done with it?

Makes sense. I’ve only seen like 1 or 2 Thornton’s up here and like a random ass Speedway in the middle of nowhere that carries e85.

When he e-tuned my car, it took about a week due to the work schedule I had but if you are going to drive to him that would be better lol

Agreed. Plus I can sight see in PA or vacation in FL with family haha.

So we just picked up a Nameless CBE (working on making it TBE) but not sure what’s the best route to take.

I feel the COBB SF intake causes some lag in boost so an uppipe can help with that. I’ve also been reading that an EWG would also be beneficial - we want to eventually upgrade the turbo.

If we go catless dp, then we have to get an EWG uppipe right? And then obviously the wastegate.

Or would we fix the issue with a catted dp and a normal uppipe? We are looking to fix the lag and gain more power.

Any thoughts?
