Yet another poor wheel choice for this year's bodystyle. *sigh*

The color isn't for me, but I think TE37's will look pretty good for this year.

Funny you should mention that, I bought these back when I was trying to fit them onto a GVB STI. Fitment and style was on-point, as I was initially going for a look similar to the trackwerks GVB (the one with the Voltex Spoiler).

The RTs are designed for more abuse and I would be running a 35 profile tire, so they're the "safe" choice for Los Angeles roads, even if the offset is a little aggressive.

I feel like the Advan GT would look perfect (see photos of Evo X below), the 19x10 +35 would be easier to fit under the fenders, but then the tire would drop down to a 30 profile and I am trying to keep the street ride comfortable for my friends and family that visit, as well as protect the wheel from damage.

Unfortunately, the 18" version of the Advan GT sucks, as the spokes are too thin in my opinion. I guess as an alternate solution for 18s would be the Nismo LMGT4s, but they're more aggressive than the RTs and would cost me probably even more than a set of Advans, not to mention my wife hates Nissan/Nismo and would give me **** daily for running their wheels.

I think it would look better all red, without the silver rim on the wheel. Looking forward to install pictures.

Interested in learning how the LED conversion comes out. Are you going to be doing a retrofit as well?

Sorry for the ridiculously long-awaited response. I have decided on the lazy route and will be going HID, the big decision now is whether or not I'll be keeping the sidemarker orange or blackout. The headlight looks incomplete without something there, it is like it was designed to meet the US market needs and they just gave up and painted it black for everywhere else.

Current Status:

Cobb AccessPORT V3, courtesy of NBRX. Very surprised this is my first mod, as I generally don't go for engine mods on my first round of things to change. The stock throttle mapping is definitely not for me, and the AccessPORT delivered exactly what I was looking for in terms of feeling. I used to be at 15-25% pedal depression (per the gauge in the car) and after driving tonight I saw I was consistently between 8-12% pedal depression.

TLDR: Throttle is linear, like everyone else says it is.

Obligatory bad photograph.

While awaiting my suspension I picked up my next major mod, Voltex Type-1S Wing!

Bought it used from a friend with an Evo X, after bolting everything up and putting it on top of the trunk the bases are about an inch over the trunkline on each side. Luckily the holes are outside of the trunkline as well, so I'm going to have my body shop cut them down and drill new holes before stripping it down and repainting in CWP.

The Voltex badges weren't used originally, but I've decided to have my shop find the original indentation on the side of the wing and put them in before clearcoating the whole thing.

Wheels and tires are installed!

If you're in Socal anywhere near West End Alignment, go there for your work. They're honest, straightforward, and do great work. Chris was working on my car today and installed the coils, Rear LCA, and wheels. He asked a lot of questions about the usage of my car and what I was envisioning for the visual appearance.

Working on getting some non-iPhone pictures. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about fitment or parts.

What's the ride quality like with that wheel and suspension setup?

The Ohlins are damn expensive, but they're worth it. The bumps are a bit harsh with 4 adults in the car, but it never feels unsafe or spine-numbing. Otherwise with just myself and my wife it feels better than stock. She says she can hear the bumps, but doesn't feel them.

Until I do major work on the fenders I'm leaving it on 255/35 tires, the low offset and slightly lower weight of the wheels (6lbs less per wheel than stock) makes the car feel a bit more peppy and the extra bit of tire has made it so there is no wheel slip.

Thanks! I just dropped it off at the repair shop, so it should be looking better than ever in a week or two.
