Another one to avoid is Apollo @ Kingsway. I went there 4 times (3 with appointments). Their technician seems to be always "not working" on the day I go for installation, even when I confirmed with the guy on the phone before making the appointment.

I'm like . . . yea. ... plz keep your comments to yourself.
The quality of their install was quite ****, but they did the job for $50.

oh man, and i thought it was only me, i mean when i pulled into their driveway they had these kind of blank stares or they were giving me the stinkeye. WTF man. anyways, i'll definitely try a different place next time if i'm going to do a mid-pipe.

they carry lots, and although they don't carry falkens (they dropped falken due to customers complaining a lot about tire wear) He assured me they can still get them, they're just not stock items. So you guys who can't live without rt615's might not have to get them from the US...
i got my toyos from them last summer, although i noticed on their website they dont carry them anymore..... aw it's too late for me to get a discount is it? lol

The guy at Hoegler took a look underneath the car and under the hood and said "oh, it goes on the turbo?" "I won't touch a turbo, if anything goes wrong I am on the hook for that - find somebody else"

Any other recommendations on places that can install a DP and do some muffler work (crushed a portion of the axle back, need to splice in a new section there).

Thanks

just another tip on tiretrends,

they are a great alternative to tirerack (not the best but hey, it's not across the border), but i would not recommend getting tires installed at their shop. i found out i had a slow leak since the install, over time the KPA went straight down to 190 and 170 while the other side had the normal KPA 250 and 230 (sorry i go by KPA not PSI)
turns out the two tires on passenger side had a valve stem leak (damaged)

Hi there, newb on a mission. I'm trying to get a hold of 5Zigen to do some work on my '02 subie, but I can't email him 'cause I'm too noobish. Could someone please have him contact me?

Alternately, I have a mess of work that needs to be done. I think one or both CVs need to be replaced, brakes, check engine light (been told that it's a seal) and I want a decent shop with good rates to fix it up so I can sell the car.

Suggests?

I have a CEL reader now, so anybody on the westside of vancouver (near UBC) wants to get a code pulled, pm me.

if a mod could update the CEL puller thread, that'd be great! thanks!

I found someone to install the downpipe and do custom welding to get it all mated up. Mario at S.A.S. Performance in Burnaby did the job for me (on a saturday even!), he is very knowledgeable and a car tuner nut. I can definitely recommend him! Check out his site here:

so local tint shops are usually cool with you bringing in your own tint? i mean they will probably just charge me for labor then right?
