Default Check Engine Light Blinking

1993 Subaru Legacy 2.0 automatic

The maf sensor went bad in this car, so the engine light come on and stayed on.. I did a scan using the black connector under the dash.... So that picked up the code for the Maf Sensor...... I then purchased a new Maf Sensor from A 1 Auto... Put it in car and car seen's to run fine now.

So i went to clear the code from the Computer. I have done this before to same car... What I did was plug back in black connector then turned engine to on but not running engine.

then i unhooked battery posts both neg and pos... then i let set for a hour.... it removed the code since the engine light is not remaining on...

But now the engine light blinks constantly..

I checked to see if it picked up any code but will not work since the light is blinking off and on, even though i unhooked black connector and reconnected it.. to test

I then did the same thing and let it set over night still blinking light...

I then tried what i found online to hook both the green and black connectors up and turn ignition to on position, and press gas petal to floor then half way then let go... then take car for a ride

Still blinking check engine..

and even seat belt warning is blinking off and on to but i will deal with that one later if i can.

I am out of ideals of how to remove this blinking check engine light i have tried everything I know to try, and everything my book says in clearing the check engine light.. and everything i have read online in clearing the light

Nothing works in keeping it off..

would appreciate any ideals of why this is constantly blinking after removing trouble code for maf sensor?

Thanks
