nothing big... just decided to scrape all the crap off and Por 15 the entire floor.
still a little more work to be done. one of the floor plugs disintegrated from rust so gotta find a replacement. Por 15 going down tonight/tomorrow. gonna do the trunk area and strut towers next. just doin what i can to keep my bugeye alive.

yea its part# 790321040. subaru wants $76 dollars for a floor plug. i found them in russia for 37cents but doesn't deliver to canada.

the hole wasnt there untill i tried to remove the seat bracket. i have new panels going in. other side is just as bad.
gonna coat the trunk and sides with more Por15 once the panels are in. then going to Line X the wheel wells. |

Nice work, my wagon had the same issue. I bought the strut towers but parted out so now I have a set of strut towers laying around :/

Titter what are you coating the bottom of your bugeye with? I've been trying to save mine as well. My towers are shot. Just redid the rear subframe and entire rear suspension. Going to do the front next week. How hard was it to replace the towers?

the towers were done by a pro who builds and repairs rally cars.
im going to Line-X the wheel wells for now. dunno if im actually going to get the underneath done. maybe one day if i were strip it and put it on a rotisserie. i'll try to get some pics up when i do more Por 15 on the inside. |

I have had good previous experience using frame and rocker paint on floor pans but never been big on line x as I've heard it likes to hold moisture but can't say personally

if the line-x is holding water then it was either improperly applied or the surface was not properly prepped.

This is awesome. I really want to do the same to keep my bugeye intact but time is so hard to come by.

Leave it exposed for 9 years in the south and it flakes right off.
