Default A/T Tires for '18 STi???

I have an '18 STi with stock wheels. I'm trying to find A/T tires for some dirt/gravel driving but am having a real hard time finding decent options that will fit the 19" wheel. Now I'm wondering if I need to buy smaller wheels, like 16"-18" so I can find the a/t tires that I want. Am I going about this the right way? Or am I missing something?

If I need to buy new wheels, anyone recommend quality wheels that can stand up to off-road? I've seen some mesh-style I like from Enkei - but tbh I'm not sure what to look for when it comes to a quality wheel that will stand up to off-road. Curious what you guys think.

Thanks!

I have seen Falken Wilderness A/T, but the ratio is taller than stock. 235/50/18

Tirerack.com sells them for $160 each. The pictures are from a Subaru dealership in Longmont, CO. They had a used Type RA with this wheel/tire set up.

Consider this idea stolen. Except for those wheels, probably going to go with Method in that realm.

Just curious, how much tread was left on those tires? They look like they are practically new but don't know how deep the tread is on that brand when new unfortunately.

I didn't check the tread depth, but they appeared to be lightly used. Keep in mind this wheel/tire combo with 235/50/18 is taller than the stock 245/35/19, but the tire sizes are limited for Falken A/T.

I haven't made the purchase yet, doing some more research before I fully commit.

Clearance seems to be good from the photos. I don't think there are any major differences between the stock RA and STI suspension height or wheel well size (haven't really been researching hard, i know). From the stock photos of the tires i have seen online, they look like they are pretty large, but they may be using a photo that is meant for a large truck or something.

Has anyone had an problems or bad experience with Tire Rack's return policy? Probably going to see if get the setup from them as a combo if possible.

You can actually fit a 17 inch method 503 on the 18+sti and go down to 225/55/17 falken wildpeak at trail also. The 17 sparco terra will fit but it is really close and you have to take into consideration the wheel weight placement. I would love to know if that RA has any lift at all because that is a 27.3" dia tire and I looked into going with a 27 inch tire and rally sport direct said it would most likely rub without a lift of some sort
