Default 2009 wrx sti engine swap. Car won’t stop after throwing a misfire

I wake up this morning and start my car like any normal day, car misfires and throws a vehicle speed sensor malfunction code.. I reset the ecu thinking that’s very abnormal and the car does not start.. doesn’t even crank no lights on the dash what so ever. I’m at a loss is there anyone who has had anything similar happen or knows what this might be?!!!!

no lights on the dash?
like no power at all? check battery connection and fuses and belts and grounding straps.
what have you tried so far as a repair?

if it has power restored then....
and I do not have any experience with this, but i tried to research just for my own curiosity.
seems like a lot of vehicles use a combo of the speed sensor and crank sensor.
when this code pops up its not usually the actual wheel speed sensor but the crankshaft position sensor.

again I COULD BE COMPLETELY WRONG here, but if you have any reason to think you could have a crankshaft position sensor problem then might be good to start there.

however i also saw a thing where a wheel sensor was shorted and car wouldnt start.
any possibility you damaged that?

let us know what you have checked so far.
and your thread title says car wont "stop" but posts says "start" assuming that was a typo?

I don't understand why you reset the code. Did you think the car didn't mean it when a malfunction created a fault condition, setting the CEL?

Ok, so how did you reset it? OBD reader? Unhooking the battery? AP? Putting 1.21 Gigawatts into the sparkolators?

If battery method, you probably didn't make a good connection when you put the terminal back on. I could see this if you were in a hurry to go somewhere. Slap it on and decide to tighten it later. Slam the hood and the terminal falls off.
