I've owned my 2005 since 2007 does that count?

Bought it for $24k and it's worth maybe $28k now. Depreciation huh

Not an economist, but would venture to say yes.

My old man still drives the '07 STI he bought new. I'm still driving the 2002 WRX that was replaced by his STI.

Not original owner, but after 11+ years, a lot of driving, maintenance and a few mods...I may as well be...Old picture...a little more rock chips but she cleans up fairly well.

04-07 are the best looking years IMO. Anytime I talk to other subie owners they always agree. Even most of the owners with newer models say the same thing that they would have rather had an 04-07 but the couldn't because of bank loan issues due to vehicle age yadda yadda..... The newer models are HIDEOUS! They look like glorified Honda Civic's.

Hey, I'm still on the green side of the grass. Or did you mean cars? Sold my 2005 STI some years ago. I believe the sticker was $33,000 new and I was able to get it for around $31,000. There wasn't much bargaining to be done since there were so few available. One of the best of over 60 cars I've owned. Nothing ever broke although modded and driven at auto x and Barber track events. I wonder where it is today? $33,000 is the equivalent of just over $45,000 today btw. Hwy61

No longer own, but picked up an '04 Aspen White in Nov '03. Was a PITA to find a car at that time, then if one was available there was a hefty dealer markup. I ended flying from Michigan to Philly for a car and drove it back with no radio. . . stayed radio free for 6 months.

I'm radio-free after almost 18 years and 407,000 miles.
