Default Fuel pump won't prime, doesn't even click

Did a few hours of searching but nothing conclusive, I just got done with my pump/injectors on my 09 wrx. Went to leak test and got nothing from the pump, no click no prime nada. Anywhere I should start before I pull the pump and put the stocker back in? I made sure to out the fuse back in before I tried priming it.

I'll pull it tomorrow and hook it to a battery and see what happens. Any idea why I didn't even hear the relay click?

Yes I did pulled the fuse to get the pressure out of the system then put it back in when I was done. Even swapped fuses to make sure.

Default I am having the same issue.

I seem to be having the same problem on my 07 STI. I have checked the pump out of the car and its working fine. Which fuse do I check? I keep looking at fusebox diagrams but nothing specifically states fuel pump or anything similar. I have checked the relay as well and that seems to be working fine too.

So... experiment!

I had the same problem with my JDM '98 Impreza STi. I couldn't find anything anywhere that indicated which fuse when pulled would affect the fuel pump.

It's no doubt different for later models, but for my vintage Impreza, the fuel pump fuse is #11 (despite what the diagram may or may not indicate).

I will have to take a look tomorrow morning. I am hoping that will be it. I'll just take a look at every single one just to be sure.

My OBD2 port isn't working either, when I hook up my scanner it won't turn on. But my scanner still works on my other vehicles. Could that be another fuse issue do you think?

I'm sorry if I am being too vague. I am still kinda new to this whole thing.

We've all got to start somewhere. When I acquired my JDM Impreza (and joined this forum) 4-1/2 years ago, it was my first Subie... and first turbo. There's been a steep learning curve!

Update to thread: I left out an important piece of info I think, when I key on the temp guage goes to full hot, I did find I didn't reattach the ground for the gbod when I did the injectors so when it goes back together I'll have an update incase this is found in the future.

Sounds like a solid plan. Recheck your connections and necessary fuses. Always check the simple stuff first before diving back into the nitty gritty.

I really wish I did this before swapping out my fuel pump. But I got it figured out.

Turns out it was my SBF No. 5 Fuse. I had done a little research and turns out it is the main fuse for the fuel pump and OBD2 port.

Swapping it out got the car back up and running like nothing happened.

That makes sense. The fuse inside the cab of the car (that I was referring to) affects the fuel pump relay, whereas the fuse under the hood (that you've found) is for the fuel pump itself. Good work!

Turns out it's going to be something a lot more than just the fuse.

I barely managed to get it out of my driveway before it blew the same fuse again. I have put in about 2 more and each one getting blown instantly.

Apparently it could be a ground somewhere that isn't making connection. Or making an extra connection? I have no clue.

Ok
So 2 things
Pretty sure from your posts the FP worked/wired correctly
So telling me something changed
Guessing here bare with me
-did you take front seats out and re-install?
I have bolted seats down and smashed a wire or two on seat slider bolts
-temp gauge pegged
This is interesting
Where did you tap into power for gauge?
The way to test temp gauge (what I did)
Finally installed inline sensor and gauge
New inline gauge would not read.....went up and then to 90 degrees
I tested and wired incorrectly(on purpose), gauge would max out without car even running with key turned on
After some searches/posts
Found out I did not ground the actual in line sensor
So
If you drawing power for temp gauge on FP power AND not grounded correctly
This might be the issue
(2birds one stone........not a bad thing)
GL
Keep us posted

Update to my thread, it was the ground for the gbod that caused the hot temp and dead pump symptoms, I got everything back together and it started right up. Now to find vacuum leaks...
