Default 2.14L Stroker

I have a 2.14 closed deck stroker for my road race/occasional drag vehicle and looking for options for head builds. Should I go with built ej205 or ej207 big port heads? Also I have heard and seen builds with AVCS and non AVCS, but don't know exactly the difference between the two with stroker motors. Here to learn and gather information. Thank you

avcs makes a huge difference when you are off boost. if you stay in boost its not that big of a deal. I would say it all denpends on what turbo you are using. So if you want a big powerband, you are going to have to get a mid size turbo with a big hotside

Planning on running a BB PTE5858. I have seen a few stroker builds in the threads running AVCS 207 heads. Might be the way to go. Thank you for your input.

Do you have to find ej207 value covers or will ej205 ones work?

205 and 207 valve covers are different because of avcs.

If you get the 207 heads and delete avcs you might could run your 205 covers but I wouldn't bother with the 207s without avcs!
