Default NASIOC newbie and full time Scooby

Hello everyone. My name is Brian and I am the current owner of a very nice World Rally blue 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX. I have owned four WRXs over the years, and I absolutely love them. When I get some pictures lined up I will post them. I'll have to see if my old photobucket account is still up and running. I look forward to being a part of the NASIOC family.

Use the BB code from the "embed codes" at the bottom of each picture. Or manually add the image tags. Hit quote on this post to see how I did this.

It needs a little work, but I love this car. I have the plate in the back window because the threads on one of the rear bumper license plate sections is stripped a little.

Feel free to graft my license plate onto your picture.

I really don't get why people block out their license plates. Scotty can't beam your car out of the image and steal it.

I won't lie, I have always wondered about that too Jack. I see people do it for pictures and videos, but have never really understood why.

Because for $15 someone can run a license plate search on you and get your first and last name and address instantly.

Yeah they're shown on the road but I've spent enough time online and seen enough people get doxxed over stupid internet drama to judge others for wanting to stay anonymous.

I've done it because the bleed from the busty bolts holding it on and the peeling letters were ruining the picture of my nice car. I really need new plates...

People will scam you anyway they can anymore. On an up note, I would like to get the little rust and paint fade it has addressed this year if I can. I have two other WRXs to sell to fund those repairs.

With embedded images here as well?

It's so frustrating to see people continually posting links to images rather than properly embedding them. I rarely ever bother to click on an image link.

I love it oddnimbus. Although, it is in the shop currently. Recently it has acquired a random shake to which I am not sure what it is. It reminds me of the shake you would feel from a wheel being lose, but all of the wheels/lugs are tight. It also doesn't matter what gear I am in or what speed. But the whole car has a slight vibration. It also will only do it randomly. The last time it happened I noticed that if I was in fourth gear and downshifted to third the shake would go away (at least that particular time). However, if I stopped at a light and started driving again the shake would be there all the way up through gear one to four. Another thing is the shake tends to be more noticeable when I am on the gas. So I figure it is either something with fuel or engine.
