Took some time over the weekend to really clean up the wheels. After a couple hours of spraying and scrubbing they were finally all finished up. Threw on the red/gold BBS center caps as well. Used the 24mm prime lens for all the photos.
Cherry blossom red Golden hour did not disappoint!

Thanks Bill!
I got the caps from Pure Motorsport a while ago. Originally intended to run them on the 5x100 BBSs on the Impreza, but after looking at it for a while I decided the red with the silver wheel clashed too much. Gold was always where they would look the best. Here's the link, part number online is 5624100RED, but the actual number on the back of the cap is 5624012... exact same as the factory black/silver caps. https://www.purems.com/Products/BBSC...BS-Center-Caps It's hard to capture it on camera, but the factory caps have a recessed portion where the BBS logo is, and the black portion is higher above and below it. On the other hand, the red is on one plane, while the logo is the only portion that is embossed. Really makes the logo pop! Just a cool feature that I don't think many people would normally notice |

Happy Easter yall!
Rest of the tires arrived last Tuesday, took some time to clean them last night. Mount and balance scheduled for Wednesday! Some cell phone pics just cuz Had to clean them before getting them mounted on the wheels, they got pretty dirty during shipping. Soon! You can see how dirty the car is currently Finally got around to hanging up the HKS banner and Subaru sign from Christmas! No HKS parts on the car yet, but I'm sure I'll find some things eventually. One more of the goldies just because they look so dang good! |

Finally getting around to posting another update. Been busy with school, got about a week and a half until graduation so I don't have much more to go!
First couple of photos are from when I first got the tires mounted and took it for the first drive of the year. LOVE the Potenza RE-71Rs, they're great tires and a major step up from the Federal 595 RS-Rs that I've been running on the Impreza. Excitement building.... First drive! Wow did I miss this thing!! Parked November 20th - April 10th Quick stop at the grandparents house to show them the car with the new tires. Took my grandma for a short drive and she loved it Couple photos with the DSLR from a business park near home. Aaaaaand finally the car all clean after washing it the other night. Feels good to have it clean again from getting some bugs on it in the fall and then getting dusty even though it was under a car cover all winter long. That's it for now, more to come in the future! |

Taillight swap and badge removal complete! Super happy with how this turned out
Only having the STi badge on the trunk has always been my favorite look, and I was finally able to do it on my own car! 04/05 tails have always won me over the stock 06s as well. Used my DSLR this time instead of my phone for pics, they always come out better and I get some awesome backgrounds out of it for my phone and computer as well. Original setup on the car, completely stock. Still good... but could be better! Badges removed and swap half done. Side-by-side comparison. 04/05 > 06 Aaaand all finished! I plan to do the JDM light mod eventually but this will do for now. More to come in the future! |
