Love that body style, wish they still made this type of body nowadays. I feel like a lot of cars are starting to look way to similar.

with Ocean City Cruisin Week coming up i decided to do a small paint correction. this would be the first time i did this completely on my own with just some guidance from friends lol i did the old reliable Meguiars 105 and 205 Compound and Polish. and finished it off with some Sonax Profiline sealant.

and just my luck as soon as i finish up......it rains!! but thats ok it allowed for some gratuitous water beading photos!

After they sat around for sometime mainly because i was dreading that the lateral link bolts would seize in the bushing sleeves (which they did) thanks for carnz-pj-410 for breaking em loose! (something his 3/4" impact couldnt do) i got the DSS 800HP rear axles in!

finally got to go to the track on the new setup!!!!!

Did what i wanted to the first time out, i beat my previous 12.4 time on the first run too!
This was my best for the night (only got 3 runs in) Next time will be much better i finally kinda got the launch dialed in and upped my flat foot shifting from 5800rpm (like an idiot) to 7300rpm and there is no drop off between shifts! hoping for a much lower 11 sec pass next time out!

At what RPM do you shift? I have been trying different things to dial in my flat-foot. Best pass it was set to 6700 and I shift at 74-7500.

Fun thread to just read through. Nice car

UPDATE!

i was having some issues where the car was leaning out WOT and the fuel pressure was reading all over the place, so i removed the in tank paper filter, and switched to an engine bay mounted WRX style filter, that fixed the issue for a a few days, the car wasn't leaning out and the base pressure was great. then the issue came back so i swapped to an Jegs in line steel media filter and no change. so i decided to slam a new fuel pump in, and huzzah that fixed it! but my base fuel pressure which should've been 60psi was now reading 75psi, so im assuming a failing pump (likely stressed from the clogged in tank filter) was the main culprit. so i dialed it back down to 60psi and the car was running like a champ! AFR were perfect.

Now for the bad news....

i went to start the car, put the clutch to the floor (as you do) and heard a click, and the car started but wouldn't go into gear while running or roll in gear when the car was off, so I'm assuming the throw out bearing on my ACT setup has failed and the car is immobile. So now i must decide if i should buy a twin or triple disc clutch! if the trans is coming out to repair i might as well upgrade eh?!

Great build! Do you have a final goal for where you want your car to be?

Funny how that Subaru itch can't be fulfilled by any other cars. A similar story on my side, had an M235, C63S, and C7 GS but nothing could fill the void of these damn Subaru's lol.
