Just for claification. Swapping a JDM non/w/Avcs EJ205 into a WRX as a replacement would require some tuning. DO NOT go and get a JDM ECU in hopes that it would solve issues. JDM ECUs are programed to run on 95/98 Octain and will knock on 91/93 Octain. Not to mention there would most likely be incompatibilities between OBD sensors and other JDM/USA noninterchangeable equipment.

I recently picked up a 2003 wrx that has an EJ207 swap but its knocking, would picking up a JDM EJ205 bare longblock and swapping all the stuff such as intake manifold and etc work and fit correctly?

Default Jdm ej205(AVCS) into a 2005 saab 9-2x aero(usdm ej205(non-avcs)

I blew my usdm engine so i swapped in a Jdm engine, I had to swap all the Jdm accessories out for the Usdm parts(power steering pump, intake manifold, ac compressor, etc) but I have not bought a jdm Ecu yet, so that I can hook up the AVCS system. My question is, will the car run fine without the jdm intake manifold, after i get the jdm Ecu and hook up the AVCS.
