Ok so I put a 2006 sti cluster into my 2006 wrx that has an outside air temp display but no climate control. Everything works the way I want excep the OAT. It just reads --- or 43degrees F. I am at a loss on getting this to work. Do I have to buy that kit from that guy selling OAT wiring or is the a pin I can switch around?

So, your setup is a little different then the normal setup I built harnesses for, but I have done them to work with your setup before. Your car should already have the sensor and wiring to the sensor, but now with the sti cluster you need the power supply, that in an sti is built into the auto HVAC, your stock cluster had the power supply built in to it. |

I'm looking to be putting an 07 usdm sti cluster in my 04 wrx. I searched endlessly and could only find one person who has done this but they did it with a 07 jdm sti cluster. would the re-pinning/snipping of wires be the same as doing an 06 usdm sti to 04 wrx swap? thanks in advance

STi gauge cluster swap
I have a 1997 2.5rs with a EJ207 V7 STi swap in it with no DCCD and I'm wanting to install a STi gauge cluster. Short of rewiring everything is there any way to install a JDM Prodrive V8 blue cluster or will any of the STI clusters fit for that matter?

After spending the entire evening reading through this and trying to figure out my specific question I am at a loss. Can you swap a JDM for a USDM? I have km/h and need mph. I know the mileage stays with the cluster which isn't a problem, this baby isn't leaving my possession.

You would want to compare the pin outs of your car and a 02-03 USDM WRX. You mite want to buy a spare cluster harness for a 2.5rs and re-pin the spare one. Its not to bad. I know I could do it easily. Their are v8 non dccd prodrive clusters. I would go with that so you don't have non functioning dccd indicators. |

The V7 and V8 prodrive sti and also the 04 USDM STi should work, not 100%sure on the JDM ones.
V7 jdm was 2001-2002 I think so I would think that cluster would work in your 05. the 05-07 usdm sti's had a reversed ABS circuit. |

Ok just did a ton of reading and didn't find an answer so if the question has been answer please direct me to where. I have an 04 STI cluster in my 02 WRX with everything working properly, however going 70mph the cluster reads 74mph, i use my AP to check my actual speed but not being able to watch the cluster is starting to drive me nuts. I called Tacoma Speedo and they said they do not have a fix for this but said possibly a Dakota speed healer could do the trick. Anyone ever used a speedo healer in a subaru and can confirm it works, or possibly another solution?

Put a v7 cluster in my 05, everything works except the abs light is stuck on and the cruise light is missing. I did read that I need to switch a pin for the cruise, but didn't see a fix for the abs light. Also, is it true that you can not swap needles? I wanted to swap my stock red needles to this cluster. Thank you.

Bump...plus, the speedometer and tachometer seem dimmer than the rest of the cluster, even after installing new LEDs. Any idea on how to get the lighting even?

Swaping the needs maybe physically possible but geting them back on in the right spot would be near impossible. |

Hey guys,
What is the easiest Sti cluster to put in a 04 forester? I really like the 05+ gauges as they just look clean with the bright red and sweep. |

Use a standard automotive relay. Cut the abs wire a couple inches back from the cluster. Crimp on female spade connectors to both sides. Relay pin 85 to ground, Relay pin 86 to the car side of the cut abs wire. Relay pin 30 to +12 volts Relay pin 87a to the cut abs wire going to the cluster. Next time I get a 05-07 USDM sti cluster in for mileage adjustment I mite give it a try if I have time. Last edited by AFBeefcake; 02-25-2016 at 10:50 AM. |

I haven't really looked into this, but most logic inverters are only 5 volts. |
