I have 1" permanent tire decals coming from tiresticker.com. Couldn't make up my mind if I'd like them or not so I just ordered and so I could decide after a test fit.

not to force my opinion by any means, but I hate the tire stickers every time I see them, and even more so when people think I have them. if you can find a stencil maker just give them your tire dimensions and the logos you want to use and get some made. it’s a little bit more work but infinitely more authentic and better looking.

They're the rubber ones not the cheaper ones they offer. I was hoping for $140 they'd be made nice enough to look like factory tire lettering once applied. If I get them and they look like crap or look like they'll be too thick off the side wall they're definitely getting sent right back.

So is there a cheap source yet for the one piece grill? I've been waiting since 04 for the prices to come down but seem to still be 250$ used and 300$+ new. I've never bought one because at the time because making power was more important. I really surprised China never started replicating them like everything else

Still wouldn't pay that much for them. Unless they were new old stock, $2-300 is the most I would shell out, for a mint set of course.

I think I only paid around $150 each for both I had. Honeycomb and my current mesh grill version. See them on eBay all the time $150-250.

I ordered one from Taiwan many many years ago, it took like a month to get here but it was worth it!

Got the tire lettering in. Test fit them and still kinda on the fence. Gonna keep them test fitted on in the garage till I decide it's corny or cool.

That's how I feel about tire lettering in general. Most of the time they do look corny due to incorrect fonts or generic "speedhunters" etc, those don't look bad though.

I think they look best stenciled on like they are really done. All you need is a cheap airbrush and a stencil kit.

Ya I decided I'm not feelin it enough. Left them taped on for a couple days and felt like meh anytime I looked at it. Although it is a very nicely made higher end lettering kit. It's individually cut rubber lettering and the font is identical to the tire logos. Maybe when the tires are older but I can't bring myself to permanently glue them on brand new expensive tires at the moment..

Ya I just like when tire company's offer the choice of coming with lettering so I was looking to make it look like they came with it. I got the smallest available size 1" so it would fit the space the oem Lettering is . My white 4th gen 4runner had hankooks on it that were bi directional so you could choose to mount with the white lettering out or not. Made the 4runner look cooler, don't feel totally the same here.

I love how sometimes the smallest details tended to makes me fall in love all over again. Almost 20 years ago my first bugeye was pretty cool for its day but I would never have dreamed to be able to get all the cool **** I couldn't afford back then let alone have the STI model of the car I loved then and lost. Cant wait to get my wheels back and drive it
I love your car. I really need to clean my jdm headlights as well... and the rest of the car. Shes been parked in my shop collecting dust. While I rebuild this AW 05 sti. i bought one from an auction so it wouldnt get parted out lol

Not my thing either, I feel like its a new-age fad that does not "flow" with the time period of our cars.

It's more of an old school hot rod/race car thing but ya I'm not crazy about it I just like the look of white lettering when the option is available when you buy tires. Like when they're factory done and the painted lettering is the just the outline and more subtle. These just pop out too much even though they're the same size as the actual tire letters

Back on the stock V7 wheels for now. Once I get the new coilovers installed I can throw the NT03's back on and get a proper alignment.

Default Bugeye email notifications. What is this, Netscape?

Gave in and did something I've always thought looks awful. Had it wired into my glove box the last couple years but shortly after I had installed it I put in a new radio and ran some speaker wire and interrupted the power to the Wideband. So I finally got around to fixing it as well as cleaning up some other stuff behind the dash and decided to try it out for awhile on the A pillar and truth be told it doesn't bother my line of site like I thought it would with the blinking and flashing. I still think it's ugly and I'm on the hunt for one that sits further down the a pillar closer tucked to the dash but options are very limited for 20 year old RHD.

Cameras better then my eyes, in real life it matches the trim pretty good lol
