Supporting mods for your built 2.0DIT wrx?
For those with a wrx and running a built motor, what other modifications did you make? STi tranny? Brembo brakes? Just trying to get an idea of your total package.

This isn't really the right forum for the question as this is for discussing engines themselves, but who cares these days?!
Built engines don't really make power. They allow you to make more power. So depending on fueling and turbo, your stock trans is probably fine. Those cable shifter 6-spds are pretty tough. I'm sure someone has broken them, but I don't know at what power level. Usually most people run into power limitations in the 400-450 whp range because of the DI system. So the real question is what is your power level, goals/useage for the car? I could see going STi driveline if you wanted to track the car. I likewise would see the want for larger brakes for the same application. |
