Replacement wheels for 2009 Impreza - WRX wheels work?
Hello,
I am looking for replacement wheels for my 2009 Imprea base model (sedan). If I come across wheels from say, a 2015 WRX, can I simply install them on my Base model Impreza from 2009 or do I need wheel spacers? Any other used wheels that I can use without any spacers that will have compatible tire pressure monitoring sensors? I think it's time for new TPMS and tires, and I have base model steel wheels. Instead of spending money on the TPMS and tires, maybe I can find nice wheels and tires from around 2015 assuming the TPMS will automatically detect and be compatible with my car? Thanks!

No, you need 5x100 bolt pattern and around a +40 offset (+/- 5 won't hurt).
2015 WRX wheels most definitely are not 5x100 and probably have a very different offset at that. Don't use wheel spacers, they're unsafe and bad for suspension. A lot of VW wheels and any other Impreza wheels with 5x100 should be fine but double check the bolt pattern and offset. You can probably find some on one of those auto salvage parts websites, that's where I got my current summer wheels. It's pretty unlikely to find used wheels in decent condition with working TPMS that are cheaper than just buying some from like Tire Rack or another store with TPMS installed. Even scratched up used wheels with working TPMS sensors are quite expensive. Personally I'd just check out tire rack, they have some decent wheels for decent prices, plus you can get the tires mounted and balanced for free if you're looking for tires at the same time.
