Hey guys. Been doing a swap on my 99 2.5RS with a 2005 STI cluster (GC8 to STI cluster swap). Here's what I've been using:

and here's the pinouts I've come up with:

Code:
Function 1999 RS Pin	2005-07 Sti pin
N/A A1
Coolant Signal A2 A11
Fuel Gauge A3 A3
??? A4
??? A5
ABS Light A6 B3 (Reverse Circuit)
Low Fuel Warning	A7 n/a
??? A8
??? A9
Coolant Temp Ground	A10 A10
EBD (Ground this wire) n/a A2

N/A B1
N/A B2
N/A B3
N/A B4
Door Warning Light	B5 B13
Door Warning Light	B6 B14
Seat Belt Warning LightB7 B9
Illumination +12V	B8 B24
N/A B9
N/A B10
N/A B11
N/A B12
Turn Signal LH B13 A9
Airbag Light B14 B18
Turn Signal RH B15 C3
??? B16

Headlights +12V C1 B30
Hi-Beam Light C2 B29
Illumination Ground	C3 C6
Illumination +12V	C4 C8
N/A C5
Park brake/fluid light	C6 B19
Ignition +12V C7 C7
Constant +12V C8 C10
Tach RPM/ECM C9 C5
VSS C10 C2
N/A C11
N/A C12
Turn Signal Ground	C13 B4
Oil Press Warning Light	C14 B2
N/A C15
N/A C16
Charge Warning Light	C17 B1
CEL C18 A6
The major issues so far that have been resolved:
E-Brake light fix: A2 on the STI cluster must be grounded. This is input from the EBD. Without it, the brake light stays on. With it, the light comes on when the brake is pulled. P.S. check the spring/switch on the handbrake. Mine wasnt going into position all the way and was driving me nuts (false positives/negatives).

ABS: this is a reversed circuit on the STI cluster compared to the gc8 one. When the GC8 abs circuit is grounded, the light comes on. On the STI cluster, when ABS input sees +12V, the light comes on. Simple relay reverse circuit was used to fix it. AS outlined a few times in the thread.

Hope this helps a few people.

Im looking for a direct bolt in a usdm STI gauge cluster for my 05 STI. I heard you can use a usdm 04 and 05 cluster but the 06 and 07 cluster is slightly different, can anyone verify this?

05-07 should work. They have the 16 pin left connector. The 04 is 14 pin and the abs function is reversed. I don't have the 05 diagram, but 06-07 do have a wire in A2 that might have to be grounded when in your 05.

Default Impreza RS to STI S202 cluster Swap

Hello, I have a 05 RS and recently bought a 02-03 STI S202 cluster and would like to know if there is anybody that has done the same thing (Impreza to STI cluster) that could make this any easier for me?? Any information about the plug and play or just rewiring it. Like is it just plug and play? My RS is manual.

Figure I'd ask here instead of starting a new thread. Have an 06 USDM STi cluster and am wondering if there's a hack to get the shift light to go higher than 7000. I'd like to set it to 7600. If not, does anyone know which wire to delete so it stops working?

You can reprogram the cluster and raise the max shift light to 8k like the jdm units. I ve done it on a couple clusters.

Throughout the Forum I see a large number of posts about how to wire after market DCCD controllers in conjunction with a JDM STI instrument cluster and JDM ECU. I've done a number of searches and can't find any discussing installing a JDM DCCD controller and just plugging it into the ECU, which should by extension cause the full complement of DCCD related cluster lights to work as intended. What am I missing? I see a number of JDM DCCD controllers available for sale.

Hey everyone, I cant find seem to find anything definite that sounds like it will help. I just installed the 05 sti cluster in my 03 wrx(I followed the instructions on the main thread on how to do it). When I plug everything back in, the fuel level gauge is on empty, the low level light is flashing, and I am getting an CEL for P0462 saying the fuel level sensor circuit is low. When I put the old cluster in, it works just fine, no engine light and fuel level is reading around 3/4 tank. The temp gauge functions as it should and all of the needles do the sweep when I turn the key. Anyone have any idea what it could be?

Update: Got it figured out. Two of the pins in the connector on the cluster were pushed back and unable to reach the plug from the harness. Crisis averted.

Default V7 UKDM Cluster in 04 Wrx Wagon

Let me start by saying, yes, I read all 43 pages of this faq. Everything works except for OAT which I don't care about. My ABS is on and so is my Airbag light(Assuming that will be normal since person before me did Sti seat swap in the front). Was wondering if I should do the relay fix noted on page 39 or 40. Or is it a re-pin/grounding fix? Should mention cluster in also not Prodrive and also non-dccd. Even a pin out schematic would work.

Oh here's the diagram guys.

This works for my 2004 WRX using a 2004 USDM STi. Use at your own risk.....I'm not responsible if you damage something.

So probably a long shot, but does anybody still have this diagram? I've been trying to get this to work for weeks now but I seem to be missing something, I've got the 5v circuit built and verified it works, I'm just not sure where he connected everything. I'm assuming B8, B11 and B12, but its not working for me. I'm starting to wonder if my cluster has an issue with the OAT display but it otherwise seems to work.
