Default jdm v7 steering wheel, keeping cruise

I'm under the assumption it's plug and play in my USDM 02 WRX but if I'm wrong I'd hope someone would tell me. This is the wheel I'm talking about.

From reading through posts it seems like the mounting holes for the cruise control dongle are already in the frame but the hole has to be cut out of the plastic and the casting marks are already there.

I appreciate any info people could give me.

I have that same steering wheel in my bugeye. I just swapped it in. It was a few years back. I got it from a friend so maybe he did the cutout you're talking about. I used an '04 wrx airbag.

I'm sort of confused as to why an 04 WRX airbag would be used... unless you just wasn't keen on the JDM style emblem in the middle.

In my case I don't want to take the worst possible option of buying on just to find out. I've spent countless hours going over pictures with a fine tooth comb to see if the mounting holes for the cruise dongle are in fact in the frame already and I just can't tell. Now I find out that there is a difference in the wiring connector and I'm faced with two options... go back over all the pics I can find in hopes I can see the mounting holes as well as the wiring connector (doubtful, from experience) or ask on a forum and hope that someone comes along that has had this experience.

Sadly, this is the second forum I've asked on and I'm still not getting much, if any, new information. I have googled for info in multiple forums but most info isn't specific as to which wheel they're putting into which vehicle.... generally cause the pics are dead links but partly cause no one specifies.
