Default How to disable can communicaton.

Just pondering on this. Can I disable it by pulling the check engine light bulb?

Nope, pulling the bulb won't do it.
There is a blue and red wire that goes between ECM and other modules (depends on model as to how many/which ones). Knowing which blue and red wires to cut is the trick. You need the wiring diagram for the whole car (I recommend the FSM.
Depending on which year model you may not like what happens when you kill the CAN bus...
