Default Final Edition STI's for NA?

I wonder if they'll make final edition versions for the US considering they did it for the GR with the Tangerine Orange in 2013 to commemorate the GR chassis change to the new VA chassis.

We definitely need the yellow STI rolling around. I'm so sick of all the shades of grey I see on the road. People need to start having fun with their car colors. It's taken Apple this long to return an array of colors to their products, and I think vehicles should be next for colorized variety.

Yellow looks awful on most vehicles.

Typically yeah not a huge fan of yellow. But I think it works if given the S207 treatment. I'd leg hump it. For the money they would ask, at least make it unique from the previous 10 years of this generation.

Fun colors are fun. It's ridiculous that the incredibly boring Crosstrek has better colors than the STI and BRZ.

I'm sure STI buyers were really clamoring for a second blue and grey option to choose from.

I loved my B5 Blue Dodge Charger; would have gotten Crazy Plum Purple or Octane Red had I have the chance.

EDIT: oh, saw a Chrysler 300 in Olive Green, looks real good !

Knowing Subaru, they will bring back Blaze Yellow, which sounds exciting, but actually looks like it was left in the sun for a decade before being put up for sale.

Would rather Savanna Green than the orange. But would rather RATHER Ruby Red than them all.

Yeah yellow only looks good when it has an orange tinge to it, like Sonic Yellow or that S207 color. Otherwise it's either too bright and annoying or, as mentioned, looks sun-faded.

The more things that get tacked onto a VA - spoiler, vents, flares, skirts... the worse it looks. Just doesn't take modifications well. All of the previous generation S series looked killer, but the VA S series are tacky. Maybe it's just me getting old.

Not without company.

I doubt they'll ever make another car that had the looks, the sound, and the fury of what my '11 STi was. Maybe the sound. Maybe the fury. But not the looks... especially after I took the wing off.

Come to think of it... never the sound either.

Or the fury. If that’s what you want out of an STI every generation is worse than the last.

Would be cool to see. Although I'll admit I would be a little salty after buying a 2020 in December. Probably wouldn't pay the additional cost for a final edition car anyways.

Why would you be salty?

Buying a MY2020 in December 2020 not knowing about a MY2021 final edition that I may or may not be interested in and therefore weighing the options before making a purchase decision on MY2020. A little salt. Yes. Most model years start before March/April of the current year, like the MY21 did. More like September/October of previous year.

I actually would have picked up a series white but I just wasn't ready to buy until it was too late. Funny because I ended up in a white car anyway.

I don't see how this is Subaru's fault for you to feel salty. You clearly made a judgement call and knew enough going in to assume there could be a possibility of another special edition run before the new generation. Especially with the EJ being retired.

Also, a special run might be way more money than you paid for your STI. So if you were willing to pay a lot more for a special, you should have waited.

I'd just sell your current car and buy the special if it's what you want. These don't lose much value.

Uhh... Final Edition or not, you're going to be really salty when the FA24 model comes out.

Some of these will probably sit at dealerships with $80k markup.

There was a Mitsubishi dealer down there that sat on Evo 8s and 9s back in the day. 06-07.
