Wife drove the WRX for the first time...
My wife's Atlas was blocked in this afternoon and she needed to get my son to track practice. She wa left with the option to drive my truck our the WRX we are restoring for my boys to drive. She chose the latter.
Last time she drove a small car was 15 years ago. It's been 20 since she drove a stick. I was curious to see how this would go. Upon her safe return, she came in and said "I forgot how fun a manual can be to drive. We'll have to get one of those to drive around." I'm taking thart as permission to start dreaming about buying our second Subie.

She's going to have a *hoot* in the current gen WRX if she liked your '02--Talk about a line that's made so much progress in that time.

This makes me really regret having such a stiff clutch in my WRX that my wife can barely push it down... Glad your wife liked the Subie!

Love to hear that!
My wife still takes my STI from time to time when I need to borrow her Ascent for the day. She grew up driving manuals and always has a smile on her face when she mentions the turbo on the highway. Thank goodness for the Brembos, she's a very late braker! |

So much emissions crap, no longer 'rally inspired', more infotainment, and... 30-40 more HP than the older stuff (WRX vs WRX).
Don't get me wrong, the twinscroll setup in the newer 2.0's sounds fun. But... I'd rather have a 2003 WRX or a 2005 STi over a 2018+ anything. >_> |

My 2015 replaced my 92x and my wife was looking to swap out her 2010 Leggy GT. She got her 2017. Both Limited with a stick.
Only downside so far is having to buy two of everything I upgrade on mine because she usually wants the same on hers. LoL. Only argument we have is which color is better. WRB is the obvious answer. |
