Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/vYWLnhf Up for sale is my 2004 STI. I purchased the car from a fellow NASIOC member in November of 2019 with the intention of having it be my daily as the 04 STI has been my dream car for as long as I can remember. However, life (read: Coronavirus) came and mucked up my plans. I lost my job as a waiter due to the virus and even if/when I am able to go back to work I don't know how I'll be able to afford rent, let alone the costs of owning a vehicle. Which is why as much as it pains me, it's time for me to let go of my dream. The car is on a lien at the moment, but if you are seriously interested in purchasing the vehicle I can close out the loan whenever the time comes and hand over the title. The good: The engine runs great and sounds SO GOOD with the exhaust that was custom fabricated for the car by the previous owner. Have receipts for all services / modifications done by previous owners and myself. Oil always changed in 2500 mile intervals. Head gaskets and timing belt were both replaced at their recommended service intervals. Break lines were replaced in January. Shifts smooth as butter. Interior is in great condition for a 16 year old car, with the exception of the type of wear you would expect in certain spots, which I'll detail below. Cosmetically, the exterior of the car is also in pretty good condition, Java Black Pearl looks awesome glinting in the sun. However there are a few clips/fasteners on the side skirts that have fallen out, but I will take care of those before the car is sold. Enkei's are in great condition. The Not-So-Good: The interior wear I mentioned above is fairly limited. There are two spots, one on the driver's side door panel and the other on top of the center console that have been worn down a bit from leaning elbows over the years. The previous owner ditched the stock radio for a double-din LCD unit from Jensen. Normally I would say this should be in the "good" section, but dear lord. This thing is the bane of my existence. It has a Fast and Furious-esque background filled with images of various "cool" car stuff, like random gauges pushing the redline, (I know. SO. COOL.) that cannot be changed. The display cannot be put into any kind of sleep mode, and it automatically turns on when you start the car, no matter what. The only thing saving this from the dreaded "bad" section is that it does have a USB and 1/8th input jack for an AUX hookup, and has quick and reliable bluetooth connectivity. The temperature sensor connected to the DCCD had come unplugged before I bought the car and as it seems like a pain in the ass to rewire a new one I haven't got around to it. I'm not sure what it's called but there is a small panel on the passenger side rear door where the matte finish has worn away, it can be seen in the second picture and in the walkaround video of the car. The AC isn't ice cold, but it does blow cold. The passenger side front seat has a few light stains that were there when I purchased the car. The trunk release lever doesn't 'pop' the trunk anymore, it has to be manually opened with a key. The Bad: There is rust under the rocker panels, and a small amount starting to form in the driver's side rear wheel well. There is a shallow, roughly 1.5" diameter dent in the driver's side front fender. The car was in a small accident that cracked the radiator which was subsequently replaced. Other than that, the car has never been in any other accident. The BBS rims are pretty dirty and have light to moderate curb rash in some places. I'm sure I've missed something in this description somewhere, but that covers the condition and state of the car at the moment. Mileage will increase slightly as it is my daily, but I have no plans for long trips in the near future so it won't go up by much. I'm happy to answer any questions about the car's history, the accident, or my reasons for selling. If you are located in the Boston area and would like to come have a look, I'm happy to go for a drive and or have it taken to your mechanic of choice for a diagnostic. This price is negotiable as the car is not in perfect condition, so if you have a reasonable offer I'm happy to work together to find something that works for both of us. Thanks!

That rules! That’s essentially what I did with this car, flew out to Pittsburgh and drove back to Boston same day. Was a long day, but it’s an awesome way to get acquainted with a car. |

Nostalgia man. Reminds me of when I saw the STi in WRB at its North American debut at NY Auto show. That's what led to my purchase of a 2005 STi. Good luck with sale.

Sent you a PM back in July.
Do you have more pictures of the rust on the rockers and how the undercarriage looks? My Bugeye is starting to show its age and the effects of time spent in the Hudson Valley NY area (rust). Thanks! |

No worries, it happens. Appreciate any pictures you can get. My Bugeye is up on stands to finish the rear end and I had a good look at the unibody. I'm more afraid of the rust I can't see. |
