Default P2P Racing review

Hey, has anyone have a eng built by P2P before? I have been checking them out and they seem solid. They have a de-stroker on their site, what I'm looking for, and they pin their mains and roll their threads, not sure if others do that. Any thoughts? Was pointed to them from a fellow nasioc. Never heard of them before.

Been around a while, several guys in my area have builds from Ryan at P2P. They seem to be pleased with quality of his work. Communicate with him, he's a good guy.

They're also one of the few that do a true line bore on all their engines.

I've got 2 ej22t blocks with them right now.

My experience was NOT great. I am sure he will have a different opinion on this. I documented it in my engine thread, decide for yourself. At first yea the communications was awesome and very positive on the initial planning. After payment and then shipping snafus; his communication got spotty then pointed at me. I was patient as all hell but in the end was told "he's pretty much giving me a short block for free" BS. Blaming it all on UPS all along, yea right .
Agreed that he does offer options that are of value....but good luck if issues arise. I still do not have any specs on the build of this short block sitting on my workbench. Yea...awesome.

*While my case might have been an outlier, I am just providing feedback. I would always want to know the good and bad to form my decisions. Upon reflecting back on this. NO I will not let COVID and shipping company logistical issues mask over the c r a p customer service I experienced. This was a vendor issue that is hiding behind shipping issues. Mind you all of which could have easily been avoided with some diligence. But that stance is for me and my situation. Anyone going down that same path would have to weigh out the risk for themselves.
Really I hope that they got their stuff together because I do not want anyone going through what I had. It super sucked.

So I read your thread about your build and yha that's crazy. Would hate going through that. 2020 was a nightmare for all carrier services. Me personally have had major issues work wise and personaly with UPS, and USPS. Damaged boxed, lost mail/packages, could not deliver bs, so on, so can't blame that on the builder. I'm sure as a buisness they were overly stressed during covid.

BUT I agree with you that this should not be your issue. You were sold a product, you paid for it, and you expect to get what you paid for. And not getting specs for this long is crazy. Might just stick with my first pick. Thanks for sharing.

Your experience is absolutely an outlier, we've never had an experience like this before. We were advised by the claims department at ups to wait for the investigation to finish before sending anything else out. Per UPS This could be because the package may have been picked up by the receiver without being scanned. Not saying you would scam us, but we weren't taking any chances as the scamming is a legitimate threat. UPS took months to finish their investigation, which they blamed on COVID and only after daily insistence by us on the phone for hours trying to locate the engine, did they find the box. We were sent back a mangled mess. The engine was nearly a total loss, at our cost. Not Your fault, I get it, but man please understand the daily crap we went through trying to find this block only to have to throw it away anyways. Oh and they denied any insurance because we didn't have pictures of the original packaging before going out....yeah....fun stuff....thanks UPS.

Again, not your fault or problem, but please understand the metric ton of crap it took to get ups to do ANYTHING in a Northern city during covid lockdowns. I also said we "were paying you to run our block" in total jest, kind of a poke at UPS for screwing both of us over.

At the end of the day I'm sorry you had an awful experience, we have made changes to our shipping program i.e. GPS tracking devices added to packages for high value items and changed carriers because of this issue. I have also reached out to you via phone and email to send you the specs you requested. Sorry man, I hope you install the block and have years of enjoyment. Cheers.

good to see Ryan explain his side and take care of the customer. I do understand UPS has been challenged the last year. I have a P2P short block coming, hopefully it all goes well.
