Default PIN-code vehicle access

I was just looking at Subaru's website and noticed it lists the 2020 STi base as having their "PIN-code vehicle access" feature. Having just bought one a month ago, I decided to go see how it works and to my surprise, it doesn't seem to be something my car has. So what gives? Did Subaru make a mistake on their site? Is this just an option my specific car doesn't have?

Not sure what website you were looking at but I've also found misleading information on the 2020 STI. One website I saw said the headlights had adjustable leveling switch but my car doesn't have one.

I think what you mean is the My Subaru App. Through starlink you can lock/unlock and turn on horn/lights remotely. Once set up you can use the pin-code on your app to use this feature. Subscription is free the first few months but after that you have to pay yearly.

i'm not talking about the My Subaru app or starlink. I'm talking about the feature where you enter a code using the trunk opener button to unlock your car.

I did end up figuring out how to set this up, the user manual is slightly confusing on the procedure.
