heard this on the radio today, and hadn't heard of her before. gave me a huge wave of nostalgia back to my juliana hatfield/lemonhead days.

So I found a way to be nostalgic while also listening to new music.

Postmodern Jukebox does covers of pop songs but does them with a twist; they are done in various genres like: 50 do-wap, club jazz, 30s swing, etc, etc. Some of these are better than the originals because they have actual musicians. The people they have doing the covers can sing like a mother ****er, so much better than the original, auto-tuned pop version.

fans of Alice In Chains, take note. Not derivative per se, but has a certain AiC vibe at times. these guys are from Greece.

Don't ask how and why I found this. (google lol)

Is this punk?

I don't care, I like it. Much better than the real thing. I would think there are enough singularities in the universe but, I can take this one on.

definitely too creative and interesting to be punk, though I do hear that punk hook in it. i dunno, i think i'd call it progressive psychedelic doom rock? haha i liked it a lot though. elements of several genres. too bad they only have the one song on their youtube channel and bandcamp page?

the fuzzed out bass and vocal delivery really remind of Al Cisneros from Om and Sleep:

if you enjoy some genre-bending psychedelic weirdness, i'd really recommend you check out King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard. They're super prolific and often put out multiple albums a year! they're from Australia... These two songs are off my favorite album of theirs:

i'd suggest listening on headphones or large high quality speakers.

party on/hail satan!
