Default New USPS is broken thread?

I know covid is the problem, and trump hasnt helped either but USPS is completely ****ed at the moment.

UPS and Fedex are having delays as well but no where near USPS.

I had a package take 5 days to go 35 miles and its still 1000 miles from here. Another one has been sitting in Florida since the 29th where they received the shipment.

Yep, same here.
Multiple lost packages. Mail taking 2+ weeks to get to its destination. Missed delivery days.

It's getting better but it was madness during the holidays. There is a place up by the Canuck border that gets a lot NYC mail. Google Reviews are all like 1s and say everything is delayed beyond belief. One kind gent said he wrote the postmaster for that area and got his package promptly. I did that. Never got a response, but after waiting two weeks before my email to him for the package ... it was in my mailbox 2 days later. Cool.

We had nothing but good luck with USPS over the past year except for a few things taking longer than usual. The only problem with a shipment was UPS.

Big issues with the office by me, Monroe NJ. Hundreds of missing packages even way before the holidays. The reviews on Google are so ridiculous.

Regional as to which service sucks the most at the moment. Here it's FedEx, then USPS. UPS is pretty on the ball, even had three trucks in my neighborhood at the same time.

Crosspost from the gripes thread, I had a rather important letter from the Virginia DMV in Richmond dated 12/10 and postmarked 12/15 not arrive in my mailbox 100 miles away until 18 days later on 1/2.

My experience in NoVA has been pretty much the same.

Rest assured they are delivering all of the political ads here in Georgia promptly. Even on Sunday.

Wife is still waiting on a couple books she ordered way before Christmas.
Right now she is seeking refunds from the sellers. Tracking on the package stopped two weeks ago.

I am wondering if the packages are sitting in ditch in an overturned trailer someplace off an interstate

USPS has been consistently awesome for 1-2 years here. Morning ritual includes looking at the daily digest email.

What are you bitching about? I’m still waiting on early December packages. I’ve started filing insurance claims where possible and that has magically moved some packages, but some do appear to be legitimately lost at this point.

Or sitting in a fully loaded unmarked trailer in a big parking lot at a USPS hub somewhere, lost seemingly forever like the Ark at the end of Raiders.

Just replace "Ballots" with "packages"

I received multiple xmas cards for the previous owner.
Some had "return to sender service request" typed on it.

I wrote: moved, circled the return to sender text, and mailed it back.

Three times I did this on the same card, and each time I would get the letter back with a new stamp from the USPS.

I ended up shredding them all.

I dont have any from early December, that really sucks. I ended up with a free atx power supply since ups lost it, amazon reshipped it, then ups found it again and it showed up with a label on the psu box a few days later.

I have a feeling the one sitting in florida and the other one in texas might never get here.

My ups **** shipped on the 28th and i still dont have them. I have 3/4 of a computer, it taking longer to get the case/aio shipped than it took me to get a 3080/5800x.

Wife ordered some canvas art prints of the kids for her parents and my parents for Christmas. I think she ordered them late November/early December. Still not here. USPS has basically told her "we are really busy".

I did

I actually received a big gift basket for the previous owner.I just sent it back to sender.

I once received a card which had one dollar. It was expected for me to donate some back to their cause. I just took the money and threw the card away.
Week after I get another one with another dollar. How dumb were these people

My GF sent a package to the Bay Area, and one to Portland. The SF one got there the next day, the Portland one has not arrived, and it's been 3 weeks

This man speaks the truth.

My wife has been keeping all the political ads we've gotten in the mail since Dec.1.

68% of the regular letter mail we've received in the last 36 days was a political ad/flyer.

And I know that number is low because there were 3-4 times I got the mail and dumped those directly in the shredder or used them to get a fire going before she told me she had been collecting them.
