Star Wars is so historically white that I briefly mistook Weathers for Billy Dee Williams reprising his role as Lando.

There's no argument. Anyone who disagrees is just wrong.

Rogue One is better than 5 other Star Wars movies at a minimum.

There is no measure by which you can say Rogue one was the worst of the star wars movies or even bad.

Feel free to call it mediocre, pure eye candy, or meh but its not objectively bad. It's placed about right in the star wars franchise if you look at the rotten tomatoes audience score. Obviously the rotten tomato critical scores have to be thrown out because the critics fell for Last Jedi and IMDB has to be thrown out because because they place Revenge of the Sith above Return of the Jedi which is insane but even those ranking systems don't put Rogue One in the bottom three.

Diego Luna's acting was heavily criticized but he uses the same style of acting in Narcos conveying emotions with slow glances and slight micro expressions. Hard to pick up in an action flic but if you can't do it it's on you.

The soundtrack was heavily criticized as well. Again if you pay attention its like a composer working on piece again and again until in the final scene where he is very close to the original score in a New Hope. It's an homage.

The other complaint was everyone dies. Go see reservoir dogs. It's okay to kill everyone.

The most annoying complaint was people wanted to care about the characters. That's really just a reflection of how jaded you are. The only movie or TV character I've cared about in years is Homelander, because Homelander is awesome but flawed. I related to Luke Skywalker when I was 7 because I was 7. When I was a teenager I related to Han Solo because he was cool. The most relatable character now is Darth Vader because he just wants his damn kids to follow his instructions.

Yeah. I guess it's completely outrageous for them to write characters in a way to make you give even a single **** about them.

Literally all the Star Wars movies are **** from any objective artistic perspective. Pacing, dialogue, plot, and much of the acting are just...bad. Everything sacrificed for spectacle and cheap emotional ploys. The epic hero journeys are transparent and cardboard ripoffs of ubiquitous archetypes. To say these movies are derivative is redundant.

Wait, this is the Unpopular Opinion thread, right?

Been saying that for ages. ROTJ, for example, is straight trash. But I mean come on, it's Sci-fi.

*clears throat

YOU SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH

Ok, the pre-quels and this most recent series were/are trash but you have to judge the OGs against what was out there at the time.

I honestly hate that I didn't get to see aNH in the theaters in 77. That had to be something, seeing the SE in 98 was pretty damn cool but it was 20 year old special effects at that point

They're movies made for dorky 8 year old boys. People think they're good due to nostalgia.

This is mostly correct except I'd drop rogue one down two spots and move the other two up.
