My insurance company has a thing like that. Last company I was with had a thing you plugged into your OBD2 port for a month and then sent back. State Farm has a thing that monitors you full time and connects to your phone. My score is usually in the eighties, except on my commute, because on of the main roads here technically has a speed limit of 35. If you do below 50 on that road - flat, straight, single stoplight every 3 miles or so - someone will kill you. So it's constantly dinging me for speeding.

Cum on the device, and then call Jake from State Farm and yell "CAN YOU SEE ME NOW JAKE!?!?! BECAUSE I AM COMING HARD AND FAST! NO SPEED LIMITS ON THIS STRAIGHTAWAY BRUH"
Total alpha move. I might want a video too, so get in my DMs brah |

We see this all the time where I am, although in the water, not the road. There's a nice little island about a 15min boat ride from my house. It's small and uninhabited. But there is a tiny little cove with just enough of a sand beach to nose into, have a picnic, and let the kids swim after they explore a bit. About 3 years ago some f**knut beached their derelict 50ft houseboat into the space preventing anyone from using it, and abandoned it. There are a slew of 50 year old shrimp boat abandoned in place by people who leave them illegally rather than pay someone to haul it out. The state will only remove them if they are a hazard to navigation. Every once in a while a volunteer group will board one with chainsaws and try to remove as much as they can. I've seen others pulled to the middle of the river and set on fire to burn to the waterline. |

It was like when my MIL complained one day about my son speeding and taking corners way too fast whenever she let him drive (he's still a few weeks shy of being able to try for his license). When I asked him about it, he rolled his eyes. He said he sped up to the speed limit because he saw an ambulance coming up behind him. He knew the turn into our neighborhood was coming up on the left soon, and there wasn't a safe place to pull off onto the shoulder to let the ambulance pass. So he made the decision to pick up the pace slightly (up *to* the speed limit) and took the turn faster than usual so that he would be completely off the main road and no longer a factor for the ambulance by the time it caught up. Clearly was the safer thing to do for everyone and what I would have also done. But I'm sure one of those devices would have dinged him hard. I just reminded him that when he's driving old women around, he has to drive like he's an old woman. And if that's not enough, drive like the old women are all smoking and he's carrying six open paint cans filled to the top with gasoline. |

Yeah, saw that at Lowe's the other day and was not amused. Can we at least let Halloween pass?

Yesterday was stupidly unseasonably hot and I don't have A/C so I had my windows closed and blinds drawn all day. In the evening it cooled off...so I opened everything up.
Then it was ridiculously windy through the night...apartment got all sorts of wildfire smoky, wind blew all sorts of crap all over my clean apartment (bathroom sink was coated in ash), and kept waking me up. So, once again, I sealed the place up. And today is ball-busting hot for Berkeley. Outside it's 100 degrees and my air conditioned office is at 82 (they've kept the AC on "low" due to the decrease in people in the building). This means my **** hole apartment is going to be unbearably hot + dusty as **** from all the wind last night. I'm sick of this ****. |

Yep. It's rotten.
On a side note one of the weather apps I have on my phone tells me if there's gonna be a swing in conditions (like it's going to rain, or be extra windy, much higher, much colder, yada). Last night it said "tomorrow is going to much much cooler at 68 degrees". @#$%ing when tomorrow? |

Buying real wood is expensive.
But my god, the bed frame I rebuilt in the back of the RV is a brick ****house. I’m actually having some real joy working with the oak too. |

My monthly commission is based on how many accounts I open, and I rotate week to week with another guy here. My week was last week and we opened zero new accounts.
He's opened six today, so far, all either walk-ins or people who were scheduled for last week and then rescheduled at the last minute. |

eh, it usually shakes out about equally, just bad luck today. It's fine because most of those people ended up being huge pains in the ass and I basically got to chill out
