My dog jumped over a fence that was over 3 ft. tall, landed on the hood of my car, slid off of it, and proceeded to attempt to eat my little quadcopter.

Hope this helps.

I gots RC boats, quads, coaxial helis, and various cars.

All electric.

One boat is dual motor, twin screw. It makes a wicked rooster tail about 4ft high.

A coworker designs and tests RC aircraft and is a world class RC heli pilot. He gets prototypes from all sorts of companies to test. His garage and attic are packed with RC aircraft prototypes he's contractually obligated not to sell them or give them away, and they don't want them back. He shocked me when he told me he's got 2 full size cargo containers full of those as well.

I can't think of a less fun RC vehicle. Maybe an RC baby carriage? I mean, at least I could take that off some sick jumps...

It's hard to judge just how fun it is when he recorded the video from two towns over. On a FlipCam. Through cheesecloth.

To each his own, I enjoy it. It may not be fast but it works in snow conditions that no wheeled RC will even if running paddle tires.

The rock crawler is the same way. Narrow focus use yet fun for its intended purpose.

I have had a number of folks make similar comments to yours but then change their tune after I hand them the transmitter and let them play.

I bought my son a Traxxas Rustler, and before I knew it, I had one, a couple of my buddies had them, and now my brother, sister-in-law, and her dad all have RC cars. I also have a track in my backyard.

Definately a fan of Traxxas. Have had a number of their trucks and buggies over the years.

The 2wd Stampede is one that is pure fun. The 4wd Stampede ( hope to get another one ) is a really good all arounder.

Currently, I have the brushless E-Revo. The thing is a beast and I am only running it on 4S. What really surprised me is the run time. I am using two, 2S, 5000mah packs ( the ESC puts them in series for a 4S,5000mah setup ) and on loose surfaces I am getting over 40 minutes of run time. Lots of speed runs or high grip surfaces cuts it in half.

i was into R/C cars when I was a kid... Had a Grasshopper II and a Bolink Eliminator. this was in about 1990.

two winters ago, i thought it would be interesting to get into it again. so i got a Tamiya XV-01 with a GR STi body...

It was fun building it up and tricking it out, but I find the overall experience still like when I was a kid... grab some charged batteries, head out to drive it, then break something in the first 5 minutes and head back to the shop to fix it for hours. FUN/NOT-FUN.
