bump
Went in for my consult yesterday and plan to schedule it ASAP, hopefully the second weekend in November.
I thought it was interesting that the consent form has to be signed by me and my wife.

Not sure. I'm going to ask about it though.
An friend of mine (in Bloomington IN) didn't have to have his wife sign one.
It's not a big deal to us, my wife even went to the consult with me, but it seemed rather odd.

They just assume your wife has control of your balls that's all.

Might be something on the part of the practice to avoid a lawsuit?

Hubby goes and has snip, wifey doesn't know and pressures for kids, hubby goes back (or wife) and cries foul. I can't recall if my wife did or didn't.

2012 should be the year I get snipped. Saving up money in my health reimbursement account so it costs me nothing out of pocket.

We're thinking about going this route soon. We popped out our second kid 4 months ago, and we're thinking that'll do. Still not 100% sure though. Would I like having another mini-perret running around being cute and calling me "Da-da"? Probably. Do we want to go through pregnancy and deal with having an infant around again? Not so much. Especially going from two kids to three, we'd have to switch from man-to-man to zone, which would be a whole new level of chaos.

Yore doing it all wrong. Wait until one/both of the other kids are old enough to watch the youngest. Stick them with babysitting while you and the lady go out.

Kids = slave labor. Err.. I mean giving kids responsibilities will build character, give them confidence, make them a well rounded individual, and show you trust them. Yeah that's the ticket!

Or once they're in 3rd grade, let them fend for themselves. Just don't be surprised when they become highly independant and move out as soon as they can.

Best thing ever. Well not the surgery itself but the result. Surgery wasn't that bad either.

Best decision you'll ever make. The 4 days of uneasiness are totally worth it.

Good luck f4!!!

Remember, you have to complete like 10 ejaculates before they can test your man-batter the first time for sterility, so get started in the post op recovery area.

I am not trying to show off my studliness, but I got my first one done that night. She actually helped I had my first sample in to the doctor in like 8 days--no swimmers on the first one, then a week later he did a second before I got the official all clear.

haha. I give you props. After I was cleared from the procedure my ex drove us like 30 miles to my work. (had to get my paycheck). yeah...EVERY bump hurt.

After that I was just too sore the next few days to even think about giving it a go.

The 2nd day was definitely worse for me than the 1st. I felt really fine the first day. Stopped for breakfast with her at Pancake House on the way home.

Yeah that's for sure. Day one wasn't so bad except for the car ride. Day two I was in bed all day with an ice pack rotation.

I have a consult after work today and I'll admit im nervous as all hell. I heard horror stories about guys who randomly feel like they've been drop kicked in the nuts after getting this done. Has anyone here had similar experiences or is it just BS?

And........done.

Was nothing...at least the procedure.

I've already told my wife "Must you hit *every* bump in the road!?!"

We'll see what happens once the Lidocaine wears off.

As soon as I got in the car I put the boys on ice and popped a couple of Tylenol.

It's true. But as mentioned, day two is the worst. Day one and three are mild. Day 4 it's barely noticable.

it was easy -

had my about done about 12 weeks ago - my 10 week count still had a few swimmers

done in office

drove there and home

i trimmed that morning and the nurse didnt have to - but the iodine wash was cold as hell

the OR style light was more like an oven or heat lamp cause i was sweating my ass off!

couple of local needle pricks and the doc started diggin, cut a section of vas out and tied both ends off - he showed me both pieces he cut out!

got a script for perc i never took sat on the couch with frozen peas that evening and the next day the wife told me to "walk it off" and had me on a marathon mall shopping event :unamsued:

remember - ice is your friend - plus the boxer briefs
