I've been playing the hell out of Civ 6 lately. It definitely took some time to get used to though, and I still didn't really know what I was doing until I started following PotatoMcWhiskey on Youtube. Once I had a better understanding of the more obscure/confusing mechanics...I haven't been able to put it down.

Civ 5 is my go to. I still play Civ 4 and (less frequently) AC.I played Civ 2 until I wore out the CD (true story). Civ 2 is what turned my son on to gaming (he is now 33). All of the Civ series were great games, though some were greater than others.

I also like Sid's Pirates. [ducks and runs for cover]

Civ 1 and Civ 2 were fantastic, although 2 was more like an expansion of 1. The best part (and how I always ended up playing the games) was Railroads. Railroad all the things, every square your city could see, and you could move your entire army in one turn!

Then I'd just go science and production crazy, get Nukes, roll them out 8 or 16 at a time on carriers and in a few turns blast every badguy city in half. Then take them all over with one unit each.

Also, I totally wasn't up until ~4am last night getting 325 turns through a random Civ6 game. Nope.... I only had 2 cities though, so that probably helped move it along quickly.
