At this point in time they are having a slight snafu with the communications system so there is a nice long delay ahead.

This first flight is not carrying a payload. It's a demonstration flight to make sure the nine rocket config works. Next flight should be carrying our dragon module.

The first five launches were in marshal islands.
Since this vehicle will be used with nasa in future venues, nasa and spacex came to an agreement to use the pad in FL with nasa oversight.
