i have some baby sunburst platys and some baby platinum convicts. i also have a few nice sized chunks of driftwood and 4 or 5 types of snails. you will deff need a heater. i like the black stealth ones. you shouldnt need an air pump cause the filter should add enough o2 to the water.

they will be here. you should prolly let your tank "cycle" for at least 2 weeks to let the biological process start(after you get a heater and filter). i could give you some of my tank water to aid in that but i dont know if you wanna drive here just for some water. there is stuff you can buy at the fish store that will do the same thing. check out aquabid.com, its like ebay but for all fish stuff!

they are plastic so you dont need to worry about them breaking when cleaning your tank. they are also all black so they are not as noticable. any heater will be fine, i just like the stealth model.

that's not the stealth.
I buy most of my aquarium supplies at http://bigalsonline.com and it's Big Al's, not Bi Gals. |

Please check out this site before purchasing any fish.
This site is awesome. It'll answer a lot of noob questions, show you how to get your tank ready for new fish, which fish are compatible with one another, and so on. It'll also teach you how to maintain the tank. http://www.fishforums.net/ |

disaster is buying some stuff, so i piggy-backed his order.
on his recommendations and OT's, i'm getting: Visi-Therm Stealth Heater, 75W Hagen AquaClear Powerfilters, 150gph Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Ammonia, Nitrite & Nitrate Test Kits should get here early next week. meanwhile, i'm gonna snag his spare filter after work and stir the tank a little. the filter is up and running, and it's got the good bio stuff from disaster's tank!
he also spotted me an air pump and an airstone. |

gil, ive also heard of feeding the tank with a small amount of flake food every other day. even though there are no fish in the tank it will help the beneficial bacteria process along. correct me if i am wrong OT.
