You can add Argo and Hisun to the 2-up list. For names, Arctic Cat was being sold as Textron (owner). 2019 ATV BUYERS GUIDE: TWO-UP QUADS

I wouldn't put Can Am as the status symbol ATV, they've had their issues and are not known as a reliability leader, aka high maintenance and their own issues like severe heat and failing frames. For Polaris, make sure and vet out any used machine with the mass amounts of recalls yearly they had starting around 2014 which were for some of their products catching fire. CFMoto has seemingly been getting better and sell nicely optioned 4x4 ATVs but power to weight are somewhat pigs when compared to other manus. CFMoto is supposedly harder to get parts for as well. I don't believe any Japanese manu sells a 2-up machine.

I may be biased, but I don't think there has ever been a better sport/utility quad made than the Wolverine.
Yeh i can see where your'e coming from, actually the wolverine is the only yamaha sport-ish quad ive never owned, and i was yamaha from the ground up. Started on a moto 4, moved to a blaster, warrior, banshee, raptor and finally a yfz450. I actually almost put a wolverine engine and front diff in a warrior chassis years ago i think that would've been cool.

Thanks for the info! Yea, my local dealer is a CFmoto dealer and also carries Can am and Yamaha, so they felt comfortable taking on the CFmoto name and I'd trust it. If I had the money I'd just get a Cforce 600 Touring and be done with it, as they have like 8 of them in stock there, but I am trying to keep my cost around the 4k mark.

I should almost do that with the amount of times I park my Warrior in the middle of a mud pit

I got the Odyssey running again. Needed a new bottom refresh after we ran it on low octane and burned a hole through the piston. Runs like a champ but at near 40 years old, it's time for something with rear suspension. I'll probably try to scope out a pair of pilots within the next few years for the kids, but at $6500 each, I may end up building something on my own.

Nice! Those pop up from time to time on marketplace and seem to hold value as collectors/rare vehicles.

Not sure what size kids you are looking for, but this Hammerhead brand seems to have some decent options for suspension go karts - https://www.hammerheadoffroad.com/product/le-150/

Edit also, for more hardcore approach - https://www.hisunmotors.com/products/vehicle/4/strike/strike-250

What's a good ATV part site?
Local dealer doesn't have winch cables in stock.
Winch is 2500 lbs, I believe.
Is it easy to install? Want to get it fixed quickly
These small snow storms are silly to use the snowblower, and would be a breeze with the quad

Obligatory sexy pic:

I have 0 experience working with/on a winch of any sort. I do not know how the cable is attached. You can order ropes/cables from places like Amazon or Harbor Freight for cheap, and unless you are constantly testing the max handling load of the cable, I'd just go harbor freight level. Warn does sell individual cables from their website.

50 foot 3k lb example:

I'm in the market for one, going to look at a 2003 Big Bear 400 4x4 Saturday. Facebook marketplace around my area has them go within a day so looking in VA.

Am I crazy thinking $2500 is a good price?

That sounds fair to me. My understanding is the market is pretty nuts right now? (seems to be the case for anything powered like quads, SxS, PWCs, etc).

Seems like it, I was thinking I will do outdoor activities this year instead of flying and that's probably a popular idea.

I have a friend whose parents are selling their 2 side by sides for a good deal I think. They are both 2010 rzr 800. Always garaged, serviced and driven by old man and woman. Each has about 700 miles. I can get either one for $3500. They are moving out of their ranch house end of the month and buying a house in the city so these need to go fast.

I don’t need this at all. In fact I should save my money. But I may need to get my redneck on if this is a good deal. I think it is but I don’t know anything about atv’s..

that is beyond a good deal. they are likely worth at least $7k each.

Thanks guys. I just called his parents and said I'll take one. I'll pick up in a few weeks. The red one was the moms. It has power steering, full windshield and better roof. Black one was dads and doesn't have that stuff. I told him I would take either.

I'll post pics when I get it.

Seriously, buy them both. That is laughably low price and miles.

Take the best parts of both and put them onto one of the machines.

Then sell the other one for probably double of what you bought it for.

Basically will be getting a free rig.

Do yourself a favor and price out what a new one costs. You can easily equip one that costs over $40K.

Great deal, I know someone who would be interested in the other one.

I ended up getting a Suzuki Vinson 500, pics in WV (Hatfield-McCoy Trails and Moorefield):

So the people are giving the red one to their nephew and I will get the black one. I’m assuming they sensed my reluctance and dropped the price to $3k and throwing in a gas can, gas can holder and a spare set of wheels tires. I offered to PayPal but they assured me it’s mine.

**** yeah.

It’s about 500 miles from me to pick it up so I’ll need to rent a trailer. I’ll hang out there for a few days and ride with some friends I know local. Then I’ll head home. The uhaul trailer rental is for 7 days so as soon as I get home I will ride schofield pass and pearl pass which are close to my house. Then return the trailer and use the rzr for home/farm duties this fall and winter. Now I need a trailer before next spring..
