OMGHi2U Look, This Is My Breakfast Thread. And Yes, I'll Pay For It Later (pics).

Had a great time sharing dinner last time so now I present my breakfast @ work thread.

It's basically a "California"...and what the hell is a California burrito, you ask?

A delicious and mythical burrito found in Mexican eateries, also known as a Cali Burrito. It is native to Southern California, especially San Diego. The California Burrito consists of carne asada, cheese, sour cream and French fries or potatoes rolled into a flour tortilla. Guacamole may be substituted for sour cream, though this not a true Cali burrito, just an imposter (known as a Cyrus Burrito).

"I almost had a heart attack while eating a massive California burrito last night!"

I must say, it's one of my top favorite meals. It explodes with great taste on every bite. BUT of course, it's not healthy and I only eat it once a week if any and when I do it's only for breakfast so I can later work it off at the gym. I don't even want to know how many calories it contains but it's up there with the Carl Jr's bacon/egg breakfast burrito.

And obviously i'm a HUGE Chile/Hot Sauce fan. I LOVE Tapatio and grilled peppers with my burritos...and I also might use the Taco Shops' own salsa (the one in the small container). I can't get enough of it and I have a great tolerance for them, i really don't struggle when it's coming out. I'm ****ing Mexican

It's really, really good and i'm sure there's some SCIC guys who will also swear by it.

And yes, I ALWAYS eat at my desk because i'm one of those guys who absolutely hate when people ask me 'what are you eating?' or when people start conversations in a middle of a bite. I'm eating, if i wanted to talk i'll talk to my ****ing burrito

For the last time, can't has our california! It's ours! Ditto Arizona and New Mexico. But you're welcome to take Texas off our hands.

Have you seen me?! I'm a big boy and I only eat once a day (i know, it's bad and stupid because it slows down my metabolism but i don't care). So obviously I need to have enough fuel in me to work it off @ the gym after work.

Dude, I don't know how old you are - but there comes a time when eating like a pig and drinking a lot makes you fat. I think it's at about 27 or so - suddenly weight gain occurs. Just a heads up!

You're WRONG, Chris. California (hands down) has the best mexican food in the states. I've tried Texas before and it left a 'meh' taste in my mouth (just like YOUR MOM!).

I've tried every bottle hot sauce and Tapatio is clearly the winner. It has the perfect taste and it's not TOO hot but it sure ain't mild either.

Maybe you can freeze one and overnight it to me

I was a bit nervous/paranoid someone would come in while I took a pic. I wouldn't even know what to say

The California burrito is the freaking bomb. However it tends to congeal and bring my digestive tract to a screeching halt. Maybe I can mitigate this effect by adding more hot sauce?

My favorite joints are Robertos and a little grease bomb place called Alejandro's. There's also this place whose name I cannot recall across the street from the 99 Ranch Market on Clairemont Mesa.

I love how all these little *bertos/*andros Mexican places have the exact same menu board, complete with the mysterious "Flying Saucer". What the hell is that? I was in Flagstaff AZ a few weeks ago and we stopped at this one place and they too had the same menu signboard.

Is there some giant warehouse full of supplies for independant mexican food joints?

If only they'd open Del Taco on the east coast, Taco Bell would go out of business
