Everyone okay

I've been taking it easy, making a little cash and sort of riding things out.

My stolen Dick is gonna be rich

Edit: or just make what I already made on GME minus the cost basis of my current shares. I’m going to sell again half of what I own for 2x then hold remaining for 4-5x

I got in and out on gme today. Got in at $60 out at $155. Thinking I should have held but its good quick money. If pre-market isn't insane tomorrow I may buy back in. Only dealing with a handful of shares but its still fun!!

I think GME is gonna pop tomorrow again. I’ve got 25. Gonna sell my 13 off RH if it hits $250. I’ll hold the 12 I have on E*TRADE longer. I bought a few today when it started to move up with cash I had free in the account, the rest is tied up on cash secured put sells or shares of CRSR and AMC.

Im gonna pull all my stuff off RH in the next few weeks via selling, withdrawing, and then transferring. I’ve got a BLNK covered call I’ve sold for 3/19 and hope to get it all out around then.

I was going to do a transfer but I heard so many horror stories I’m not trusting RH to do it.

I got back in this morning pre-market at basically what I got out at last night. I hope this goes to the moon because otherwise stupid wash-sale will bite me.

I am not very up to speed on wash sales but I thought that was only on the loss side? Like I thought doing what you're doing is fine?

It is on the loss side. So if i take a loss today I can't utilize it because I already took a gain on the same stock within 30 days (before or after, so a 60 day window).

basically, if you trade a single stock over and over again. the only thing that matters is your gain/loss for the entire year. If you lose $aaaa then gain $bbbb and then lose $ccccc, you cannot couns $aaaa and $cccc as combined losses, but you must use your net for the year. I think this rule has changed over time and might have been 90 days once.

Oh, I never understood it that way. That's actually ok for me, so long as I can claim the losses off the gains from the same stock. In that case selling and buying can be ok as long as you are up overall...

The fact that it has been sitting at 40-50 since Jan is astonishing... then seeing it hit 200 this passed week is hilarious.

I'm not sure if you all are on reddit, but you absolutely need to read this if you are interested in GME:

Endgame DD: How last weeks actions all come together to one specific Date. All the data analyzed.
https://www.reddit.com/r/GME/comments/ltua0n/endgame_dd_how_last_weeks_actions_all_come/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

TLDR: March 19th could/should be a big day.

Yeah I saw that today. It seems to be reasonably well researched but I don’t trust the level of ****ery that could still come.

I’m splitting what I’ve got now into “sell at $250” and “hold for higher” grouping and will see what happens. If we drop back near $50 I’ll probably put another $5k in. Part of me thinks we will see prices go up to a few hundred between now and 3/19 to try to shake some people out. I’m fine shaking out considering the return I’m getting at a $250 sell.

The thing is even if 3/19 comes and goes I don’t see a resolution that doesn’t have at minimum the spike we saw in January if not much higher assuming no crazy intervention.

I think the rest of the market is gonna be red while this all shakes out but haven’t decided how to play it. I’m buying some cheap shares of stocks I like to look for that +5-10% then rotate.

I’ve still been doing well on AMC cash secured puts and covered calls with shares I got assigned.

I totally agree on every point you make. They do say it's based on the facts as they stand today. Those facts can change based on what Melvin/Citadel do. But as long as retail buying/holding can keep the stock high, there will be a reckoning. I only have a handful of shares but if it goes to $50 again I might reload a few more.

As an aside, and I know this sounds insane, but I've heard so many times from so many different sources that we are in a market bubble. Would it be completely ridiculous to pull out like half of my IRA funds from the target date fund and stick it in money market? The gains have already been ridiculous. I know time in the market beats timing the market, but it seems so obvious at this point.
