Okay fellas. I've got a hankering something bad for a super cracker-y pilsner. You know, the kind that's like a nice piece of toasty bread. I've had only two that fit that description, and I can't for the life of me remember what they were. Any recommendations? The bread-ier the better.

I hail from Cincinnati these days, which has a lot of really good microbreweries. Platform from Cleveland recently opened a bar downtown and are showing up in stores lately. Everyone I’ve had so far is amazing.
Just finished some gym day shorts the other day, I recommend. |

Hopslam Ale 2021 Mini Keg 10% abv. From a Tulip glass What can I say, super hoppy, strong honey note. Not too bitter and a nice citrus hint to it, definitely recommend!! |

Holy ****! Howdy neighbor indeed. I'm down south of Pike Road. One of my wife's and my favorite mini-dates is dumping the kids off with grandma for a few hours and walking over to the Tasty Weasel for a little respite.

I'm over by Kanemoto park, when the weather is warm I walk the dog up there for a Mama's. If you see a guy with a Choco Lab say hi!

I usually drink 12 packs of decent beer. Cost wise, it kind of adds up. My wife doesn't really drink. At what point does it make sense to get a mini kegerator? I have a mini fridge. I guess I'd need tanks of CO2 and all that. There are a ton of good breweries around me.
Will it stay good long enough? I haven't done kegs since my 20s. My impression is that it will go bad before I can drink 5+ gallons of beer. Does anyone do this. Or am I just a drunk? Some quick math looks like you don't even save $ on a keg vs cans/bottles. Nevermind the tap and equipment. Last edited by mla163; 02-26-2021 at 01:27 PM. |

^ I've thought of doing that myself. But, I enjoy a variety a bit too much. I find after a couple 12s (or 6s) of a brew. I'm burnt out on it and the lust is over. Flavor of the month is real.
I could probably do a pony of Coors Banquet in the summer. I like that stuff alone or with a bump of bourbon. But not sure about much else.. Don't think I could drink a pony of IPA before it becomes muted or outright old. |

Variety of beers, and variety of alcoholic beverages. My dad asked if I wanted his kegerator a few years ago and I said no. A 12 pack of any one variety is all I'll ever finish.

Only reason I would buy one is if I continue to home brew more IPAs, which take to kegging much better than being bottled.

The best thing about a kegerator is that you don't have to finish it anytime soon! It will still be fresh in a month as it will in a day.
