The good thing about taking the bullets out of the gun is that you can point it to anyone. :waving_kitty: Nobody cares.

For me they used some kind of clear lotion, almost like hand sanitizer.

Then they taped my wang up on my belly (yeah that's right my belly...you can't prove otherwise!) like a forced erection so that they could work easier.

The oddest part of the experience was him asking me if I had a music preference and if I wouldn't mind an intern (who was female but not hot) to assist/observe in the procedure.

Please explain this further....everything I've seen says the opposite. Higher risk of complications for females.

I'm due for a snip....the wife offered to take one for the team but that seemed silly given the higher risks....

Bro, help a bro out, bro.

Home and on the couch. Stopped at Pancake House for some breffast. Not bad at all so far. Gonna take it easy today and tomorrow anyway.

I took a razor to the sack last night in preparation, but nobody even asked or cared. I haven't yet taken down the magic underwear to look yet:

Hmmm....nothing I read here leads me to believe this is lower risk to a woman than vasectomy is for a man.

Many times women can have it done at the same time as a Caesarian section, which reduces the risk to practically nil.

The complication rate with hysteroscopic sterilization is approximately 0.02 per 1000 procedures. The most common complication is perforation of the uterus (when an instrument creates a small tear through the uterine wall). This does not usually require treatment and does not have any long-term consequences.

Quote:
A phone and postal survey of 172 patients 4 years after vasectomy found that 15% of respondents experienced chronic testicular discomfort that was troublesome and that 33% of respondents experienced some chronic testicular discomfort.[6]

A retrospective postal survey of 396 men found that 4% had significant genital pain for more than one year that required surgical intervention.[7]

Another study contacted 470 vasectomy patients and received 182 responses, finding that 18.7% of respondents experienced chronic genital pain with 2.2% of respondents experiencing pain that adversely affected quality of life.[17]

Meh, I've got this done a few years ago. All's been good. My recovery was a weekend, then resumed regular activity. Just have to make sure to stay off your feet for two days, then you are golden, Do too much too soon, and you will suffer.

BTW Neek, seeing as you're a doctor, I'd assume you got the good pain meds?

Honestly, for me the biggest pain was the feeling of being kicked in the nads for a few days...followed by about a week of discomfort due to the stitches.
